Oh My...

I was working last night (I'm a server) and my float was stolen. Even worse, I had my rent and 200 dollars of tips in there for a grand total of 1000 dollars. I just can't believe this happened, and I have no idea how I'm going to get my rent paid now. What makes it even worse is that, based on where it was taken it was most likely stolen from a coworker. I just don't know what I'm going to do.

That sucks, I had money stolen from me about 12 months ago and you feel so helpless. I hope for your sake you can find who was responsible.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. It's so upsetting, especially when you have concerns that it might have been a co-worker. I've had this happen to me, and people have not accused me of stealing it, but I know they've discussed it behind my back.

It's an awful feeling. I hope it gets sorted out soon chicken!

Aww, I'm so sorry this has happened.
Have you spoken to you supervisor? Maybe there has been other situations where workers had money stolen from them?
Have you considered calling the police? At least a report will be made that you can show your landlord if you need more time to pay the rent.

I hope that you get your money back.

Raise a huge fuss so the person responsible won't feel like they got away with it.
Are there cameras where your float was? If not, ask that management help you protect your items while at their establishment.
Definitely call the police, get a report, and basically don't just let it slide.
That's alot of money!!

I have been raising a huge fuss! It's almost impossible to get my money back now, but this is an ongoing concern and I plan to make sure corporate puts cameras in to protect the staff's belongings.

Ouch. Thats happened to me before....I would definatley talk to your manager, unfortunatley with my case, I am pretty sure it was a customer...I used to cocktail in a a really really busy club, and I guarentee right when I turned my back, someone just took it off my tray...I hope you find it, or get your rent situation figured out
