Re: Eyelash Growth promoter?
I understand your point cool kitten but glaucoma eye treatment is actually being prescribed by some doctors for alopecia of the eyelashes. I'm pretty sure its a relatively benigh drug, also a study is currently being run on ppl using these treatments specifically to see if it stimulates lash growth. My concern is that i'm not being monitored in any way so if something untoward happens then i'll have to go to my docs and explain and feel rather embarassed.

i'm a pharmacist. Every drug has serious side effects that aren't even mentioned to general public. if something happens and you don't recognise the symptoms right away you can lose your eyesight. You can't use RX drugs without being monitored, the result just isn't worth the risk!!!!

Re: Eyelash Growth promoter?
Thanks for letting me know you're a pharmacist, i'll have a serious rethink about using it now. Do you know much about how it could adversely affect me?

Re: Eyelash Growth promoter?
In clinical trials, the most frequent events associated with the use of LUMIGAN™ (bimatoprost ophthalmic solution) 0.03% occurring in approximately 15% to 45% of patients, in descending order of incidence, included conjunctival hyperemia, growth of eyelashes, and ocular pruritus. Approximately 3% of patients discontinued therapy due to conjunctival hyperemia.
Ocular adverse events occurring in approximately 3 to 10% of patients, in descending order of incidence, included ocular dryness, visual disturbance, ocular burning, foreign body sensation, eye pain, pigmentation of the periocular skin, blepharitis, cataract, superficial punctate keratitis, eyelid erythema, ocular irritation, and eyelash darkening. The following ocular adverse events reported in approximately 1 to 3% of patients, in descending order of incidence, included: eye discharge, tearing, photophobia, allergic conjunctivitis, asthenopia, increases in iris pigmentation, and conjunctival edema. In less than 1% of patients, intraocular inflammation was reported as iritis.
Systemic adverse events reported in approximately 10% of patients were infections (primarily colds and upper respiratory tract infections). The following systemic adverse events reported in approximately 1 to 5% of patients, in descending order of incidence, included headaches, abnormal liver function tests, asthenia and hirsutism.

i listed a bunch of side effects for you. I wouldn't take my chances of getting even a single side effect from that list just to get longer eyelashes, it just isn't worth it IMO.

Re: Eyelash Growth promoter?
I hear castor oil works, but I've never tried it. It's what's in the ardell lash stuff though, and a lot of people on MUA and other places I frequent have had luck with that.
