is there anyway to make it so you dont taste it?

I like tea, just not green. For some reason is too sharp to my taste buds. Some expensive green teas (at Japanese restaurants) are pretty good, but generally I hate the taste. *sigh*

There is a method to the madness of making green tea, otherwise you can end up with tea that is bitter. You want warm, not hot water, and you typically do not want to steep it any longer than 3 minutes. Years ago, I bought this whole set formaking it, and it came with a decanter, and a very fine-screened strainer for a "nice, clear cup."

I looooove green tea! I buy mine in a packet and its pre-mixed with sugar! I love it hot and cold..and with cream..or make yummie green tea ice cream with it...Oooooo yea! I buy mine in a japanese super market and i definitely get my recommended amount in a very delicious way!

I drink a lot of different teas and I love green tea. My parents have iced tea with dinner every night and have always done that, so I'm used to it I guess. I like to add tiny bit of honey to green tea.

A friend of mine has cancer & uses green tea now in everything as a substitution for water - in cakes, in puddings, all recipes, in coffee as the water etc etc for its anti-oxidant properties.

I didn't know green tea had caffeine in it though, do all herbal teas? I usually have Twinings Fruit teas, 5/6 a day & I assumed they were caffeine free!?

I did try using green tea. Didn't like the taste of it. Still considering the benefits that you have listed, i guess I should go for it.

Hi, herbal teas like Twinnings etc don't have caffeine in because they are "tea style" drinks (I think). Green tea on the other hand is "real tea" and so has caffeine in it (could be wrong though!). If you check the label on your herbal teas it should tell you. At the moment I am drinking Typhoo Green Tea, which is a blend of green and black teas, so isn't quite so bitter. I don't need to add anything, but if you want to sweeten I would try adding some honey. I wouldn't use artificial sweeteners as I'm a bit wary of those and would worry that using these might cancel out the benefits of drinking the green tea.

Yes, green tea has a bit of caffeine, but it less than oolong tea or coffee.
When you drink green tea don't think of it taste, think the great benefits you'll get.
