It sounds like you have a bit more beige/peach than me in your skintone if you can do Fawn and Beige...

Hmmm, maybe try KIANA, CARMEN and CYNTHIA?

edited; sorry! I forgot you'd tried RAVEN.
Well I got the Kiana, and it isn't a match. A little too gold & dark. I compared it to my sample of Ina (not make any longer) and it looks almost identical, but I thought Raven replaced Ina?? oh well. I guess I'll just have to mix Crystal and/or Amber with Raven, or would you say that Julisa is a Raven Amber mix??

Re: Milan foundation colors - preview

Memaize - sounds like you have the same problem I had with KIANA. I think JULISA would work for you. You could mix this with a tiny bit of RAVEN, but maybe you don't need to...

lovelygal - I had no idea what my undertone was before I ventured into the world of MMU. i just went for the yellowest/most golden shades in traditional foundation and these still ended up looking kinda beigey-pink. If you post your photo on the MMM forum (no makeup, in natural light), I am sure somebody will be able to help you out and offer suggestions. That's how I found out my undertone. (or email the owner of the mmu company with your pics!)

haly - you are welcome

Re: Milan foundation colors - preview

I wish I'd checked out this chart before placing my sample order (fortunately, just samples!), went for the darker shades like Olivia and Kiana, but thank goodness also Julisa and Amber. I realize that I am picking colors I *like* rather than the colors that might match me...I'm after the HG skin, not cosmetic, it seems!

If Milan is going to name their colors after female names, my suggestion for a new color Chart is to name them after the ladies, eg. Lilita, Hoozey, Periwinkle_Sky, Gvieve, etc. since so many of us try to find our skin twins on these sites.

Oooh......Candace lets me change my order, even though it's only samples! She rocks!! Thumbs up for Milan Customer Service! I'll post my reviews after testing, but I like them already!

Thanks Lilita. I sent candace at Milan an email, and she suggested colors for me. I placed and order today for the samples. She gives quick reply to any question.

Re: Milan foundation colors - preview

Your descriptions of the foundations, especially Brooklyn & Kara, are dead on. My mom wears Brooklyn, and I wear Kara. We are warm golden toned, but my mom is a couple shades lighter than I. I can actually use her foundation as a highlighter.

It's strange how some colors can look the same but be so different. When I first ordered my samples, I got Kara and Marie thinking that they would be pretty close to my coloring. But once I applied Marie, my face looked like it does after a sunny vacation. At least I know my summer color now LOL.

The chart looks great...keep up the good work.

Thanks so much for the feedback, bebedee! Yeah I know some of these colors lookalmost identical and I had to email Candace to help me tell them apart with correct descriptions

I also found that swatching on my wrist and blending, really helped me see the "undertones" (as opposed to doing it only on white paper and getting a flat color)... but I ran out of space on my wrist to do ALL the colors

Re: Milan foundation colors - preview

hi periwinkle, Yes, I think JULISA is my best Milan shade! Are you going to sample Milan too? I think Julisa could work well on you. I did a chart comparing Milan and Lauress colors, and JULISA looks very very close to RADIANT YELLOW (ie Delicate Yellow in Original formula).

Re: Milan foundation colors - preview

Hi Lilita and All!

The foundation chart is AWESEOME!!! Thanks so much for the wonderful swatches and descriptions-very helpful to all of us. I had tried Julisa once and thought it was a tad light, but I am going to give it another try tomorrow. We are home from our week away and boy is it good to be back. The weather in Ohio was horrid-cold and rainy almost the entire time. We came home a day early because we are supposed to get another snowstorm today/tonight, up to 12" of snow here in the middle of April. Arghhhhhhh!! Well I used my husband's computer to check in here and it would let me read, but it wouldn't let me post anything. Talk about major MUT withdrawal issues! I couldn't post or read Delphi either....very frustrating indeed. I hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to getting back into the "groove" here!

tajameka - that's awesome to know! Did you find your perfect match? Please share a pic

Welcome back, Ruby! Snow in April - that's crazy! of course I can't imagine it being here in sunny SoCal..
I thought Julisa was a tad light on me too, but my neighbor said it didn't look light, so if it's ok on me (and I think I am slightly more tan than you are), it must be ok on you...

Hi Ruby! Hope you had a good week even if the weather was miserable. Missed you, glad you're back. I can't imagine not being able to respond to stuff. That would be harder than just not being on MuT.
