Re: Ocean mist & Every day minerals

I've heard of everyday mineral too, weird everybody is saying the same thing about the coverage or lack of, good to know not to go down that path.

I haven't heard of Oceanmist, that's an option. Do they have matte foundation? I DO NOT like to sparkle from head to toe...looks really silly.

Re: Ocean mist & Every day minerals

I get really good coverage from my everyday minerals makeup, I absolutely love it!

But no I didn't sparkle with ocean mist, although they only offer one formula, not different choices for different skin types like everyday minerals does.

In bare minerals I wear the light foundation, summer bisque for my concealer, warmth as my blush, & the mineral veil.
From ocean mist I chose: golden fairest, golden fair, & golden light foundations, elegant nude blush, lightly tinted mineral veil, & light concealer.
From everyday minerals I chose: fairly light, light winged butter, & golden medium in matte formulas, natural blush, & multi=tasking concealer.
I can't wait for them to get here!!
If you like the finish of BE as I do, I think you might prefer the original glo formula in EDM better. It's a little closer to the finish of BE than the other formula...less dry/matte more dewy/glowy. Oceanmist is a really good foundation too in terms of coverage and staying power but for me it just wasn't the finish I was looking for...and I really wanted to love it...

Loving the SK-II line:

Facial Foaming Cleanser; Facial Treatment Clear Lotion; Facial Treatment Essence; Facial Lift Emulsion; Advanced Signs Treatment cream; Facial Treatment Mask + eye masks (once/week)

Re: Ocean mist & Every day minerals

I wore light in Be. When I went to Ulta they told me I was failry light, but when I came home & put it on I looked HORRIBLE, way too light & pink & shiney. Thank God the starter kit also had light in it--I put it on & loved it.

When I was at Ulta she tried fairly light & medium on me. She then told me I was definitely a fairly light. I asked about the light that comes in the starter kit also & she told me not to use it, that it's for yellow based complexions. So I was already suspicious cuz I usually do best with yellow based complexions.

I haven't tried EDM. I have tried OM and I like the coverage. It gives me a dewy glow.

Re: Ocean mist & Every day minerals

I didn't get a glow from OM, but I definitely do from EDM.
