Re: Mineral Lipstick
Okay, so I ordered two mini-lipsticks from Monave and am really excited for them to get here. I have slightly more mauve-tinted than pink lips, and I'm looking for a subtle color very close to my natural lip color. I got Rosewood and Mauvelous. I'll report back once they get here and I try them out.
I was actually really excited that Monave's full-sized lipsticks are only $12, which I consider eminently reasonable for something that will likely last me two years or more. It surprised me considering their foundations are $25, as opposed to the $12 or $15 that many mineral makeups range.

Re: Mineral Lipstick
I wanna know more about mineral lip colors too. I have seen recently a friend of mine who wear a dab of the mineral powder on her lips, and then she just goes over it with clear lip gloss, and POW! Color!

Re: Mineral Lipstick
I'm really not content with adding minerals to my lip balm to make lip color. My lips usually get very dried out this way. Rarely I get the magical ones that give the "POW!" also.
I will definitely take a serious look into mmu lippies now, but so far have not seen any magnificent colors that stick in my mind.

Re: Mineral Lipstick
Okay, so the Monave minis got here a couple days ago, and I really like them. I don't know about texture and so forth as compared to their full-sizes, but I'm really happy with the colors I got and excited to wear them!
I will most likely get full-sizes of one or both of these colors sometime in the near future.

Re: Mineral Lipstick
Are they sheer/matte/glossy? Or does that vary with the color?

momokins - I recommend the Aromaleigh lippies! I received my first order last week and the lipstick colors are so pigmented and gorgeous! I was very pleasantly surprised. Even the one lipgloss I ordered - which I expected to be sheer- was very vivid in color. (There is a review on my blog - click on siggie link)

Re: Mineral Lipstick
I've been an Aromaleigh customer for four years now and have since branched off into other brands of MMU, but my HG for lips is Aromaleigh Pure Shine Lip Gloss as I love the texture and coloration of the product, not to mention the ease of application with the pen, just like Stila's lip glosses. I also like the subtle cocoa-orange scent (more cocoa than orange, IMHO). They have a great color selection and they also run sales on the lip glosses pretty often so you can really get them for a great price! But, I would pay regular price for them any day of the week, they are that nice.
I also like the lip gloss pots from Monave. I have an Aromaleigh lip brush that I use to apply the gloss from the pot which works out really nicely. Monave's glosses are a little more matte appearing than Aromaleigh's but they still moisturize my lips really nicely and do not dry them out. I also like the slight orange scent of the product due to the orange essential oil that is in it. The pigmentation is also very nice, though I don't believe it is quite as vibrant as Aromaleigh's pigmentation in the Pure Shine Lip Gloss.
I have tried the Lip Gloss Minis from Monave and loved the color, but as posted in a previous post in this thread, the consistency seemed pretty dry. I am sure that it is much better with a full size product as the mini sizes are pretty small and might have a tendency to dry out more quickly. It might be just a thing of personal preference too.
If anyone knows of any other good mineral lip products, please post because I am always on the lookout for something new to try!
