Re: Mineral Lipstick

I love silk naturals lippies too. I've tried JLynne's before but found them a bit difficult to put on, a bit hard.

Re: Mineral Lipstick

AN has mineral lipstick now. Has anyone tried them? I really want a very pigmented lipstick that will last a good while. Hard to find.

Re: Mineral Lipstick

Well I went ahead and order a couple from Aubrey Nicole. Their 15% off sale ends tonight, so I wanted to get those in. But now they are offering free shipping for the next 2 weeks - 'ouch' says my credit card!

Re: Mineral Lipstick

I have firewater from Bare Faced Minerals and I LOVE it. It feels really nice when it goes on and has a lot of pigment, plus it's a really pretty color I'd defonitely buy more from them.

I've looked at BareFaced Minerals website about 5 times and have yet to order anything. I just hate that website - for some reason I find it very difficult to navigate and not very appealing. I've heard good things about the products and the owner though, in general.

Re: Mineral Lipstick

I've never tried mineral lippie - apart from rubbing some blush on my lips and then coating with sheer gloss, that always looks nice.

I agree the site is a bit less than appealing and I dont like the photos. They should be a bit more proffessional to get a better idea of the product. But I ignore it the best I can and ordered the lippies. I mentioned once in a forum that my lippie was rancid when opened and she contacted me and offered to replace it. That's great service.

Re: Mineral Lipstick

Ive tried a few of Monave's lip glosses, and I loved them! But... Im still a MAC lip gloss girl at heart. I think one of the problems when it comes to mineral lip sticks and glosses, is that mineral makeup companies try to stay "green", which is great for us... but kind of sucky for the lipsticks! Ive tried some mineral glosses other than Monave's and i HATED them! They were all beeswaxy. yuck!

Re: Mineral Lipstick

i love SN! i have lipsticks in:
rapture- rose
bliss- nude brown
indulge- nude pink (my fav, dont like bliss as much as i feel brown-toned lippies and blushes are a bit dull for my complexion)
vivacious- coral

their lipsticks are matt so i prefer to put lipbalm (which isnt shiny but gives a subtle sheen) before these so that they arent as 'flat', if it makes any sense. long-lasting colour and the taste isnt the best but its ok

also have their lipgloss in sherry (warm peachy bronze). love this gloss because it tastes great and is pretty moisturising. ive ordered more- ashley and sarah, and i cant wait to receive them

on the other hand, i really dislike theshespace's lipjunk. cannot bear the smell of it. its strangely medicinal thinly disguised with chocolate mint, and the combination of both smells actually makes me feel a bit nauseous. i tried using it once but it was just a nasty experience for me, have left it on my desk for now but will probably throw it out soon, such a waste! i had high hopes for this one

I agree about the LipJunk - I bought one of them and the smell isn't very appealing at all, and the texture is so soft - "almost" too soft to be in a tube? And I know this is petty, but the labels were homemade inkjet printer ones too and peeled right off as soon as I got it (so my tube is label-less now) - it just seemed "cheap".
I am ordering some stuff from Silk Naturals today which will include several lip glosses - I've got high hopes for them to be as great as everyone says they are.

Re: Mineral Lipstick

Mad minerals carries actual lipsticks as opposed to lippies, lip glosses, and lip balms with pigment which all all moisturizing but tend to not adhere long due to the oily ingredients. Barefaced minerals thin lip balm sticks are very pigmented like a lipstick but also very moisturizing like a lip balm. So far from the mineral companies these would be my favorites as I found Pure Luxes and Aromaleighs too oily and loose.
