I have never seen a mascara add (comercial or magazine) that was natural though! They either slap fake lashes on or do some photoshop alterations....

Well having tried L'oreal mascaras and it's other products, I already knew it sucked. So they didn't fool me. And MAybelline and L'oreal are made by the same company. L'oreal tests on animals. And then there is the racism thing in France.

Yup I don't buy L'oreal, Maybelline or Lancome anymore (all by the same company).

Oh and to the person that mentioned the Diorshow mascara, it is definitely one of the BEST mascaras I ever tried. Does wonders for your lashes!

That's so interesting how different cosmetics work differently for different people!!! I personally hate the Diorshow but love the Telescopic! LOL

actually the fakest mascara ad i've seen is the Covergirl lash exact with Queen latifah... now THATS some fake looking shit!

It's rare that I don't see fakes in ads. I mean you can easily tell there fakes if you look at the ads. The only company I usually see using real one is Cover girl.

I never thought about falsies in a mascara ad about before, but that's exactly what I thought when I saw that ad.

I think so, too! Either that, or they spend 3 hours just applying mascara - I read an interview once with Sarah Michelle Gellar when she was doing a Maybelline ad and she said it took the MUAs 3 hours just to get her lashes look right ...

I never thought Penelope's lashes looked real in the ad.

I have that mascara and still love it tho'. It make my lashes look longer. Maybe not by 60%, but they do look longer.

Usually when I see makeup ads I realize that the model probably isn't really wearing that makeup. You can tell that some things are fake and that they're airbrushed a lot. It would be nice if they really had to wear the product but I don't think that will ever happen!

on the one hand, I'm like: yay for nailing the brand for lying, but on the other hand, I'm thinking, who in their right mind actually thought Penelope's lashes were real? I'm sure other brands have done the exact same thing before and gotten away with it....
