Re: This as a possible way to store makeup.
I've noticed that tool boxes actually last longer and are better quality than train cases.

I saw something like that at my KMart a month ago and I would have bought it if it weren't for the fact that I'd just bought a Keter toolbox. I think it's ideal for makeup storage because it's well-designed, functional, sturdy, compact and well-priced.
That's it! I'm going back to KMart to see if I can find it again. Thanks for reminding me how much I NEED it!!!!
Great minds think alike, eh?

I see nothing wrong with it! It will provide excellent storage space and you can fit all your makeup in it without having seperate boxes full of cramped stuff. I've always been more about function than looks. I say go for it!

I like it. I bought my dad one for his birthday a couple of years ago, and that bad boy is awesome.

Re: This as a possible way to store makeup.
I sent my husband to Walmart to buy this last year but for my sewing machine. It turned out it was about an inch too little. Totes for sewing machines run a lot more in price. I had to return it and ended up buying something for considerably more money. This was a great storage device no matter what hobby you have. This sucker is under $25.00 and worth the money.

Re: This as a possible way to store makeup.
i think it'll do the job of storing your make-up, but i wouldn't buy it for myself coz i want something cuter or a bit more feminine.

I think that would be a good buy for your makeup since toolboxes usually comes with many compartments. Be sure to post pics of it with all the makeup.

I am planning on posting pictures of it when I decorate it and fill it. I'm going to show all the doubters that it can and it WILL be cute.

Re: This as a possible way to store makeup.
lol share, you know i just bought a small tool case for my jewelry and plan on buying a larger one, similar to yours, for my makeup. i just find those are just the thing we need and probably still cost less money than a "true" makeup case.

What is a "true" makeup case? I think a true makeup case is in the eye of the beholder. For me, I am just fed up with the overpriced tiny boxes that are sold for makeup.
The way I see it, I buy this for $25, instead of the MAC traincase for $225. I get a ton of space for 1/9th the price. The $200 I saved can go to more makeup!
Everyone wins!!!!

Re: This as a possible way to store makeup.
I'd would say go for it,girlie it up with paint, stickers;anything you like!! When I was younger I used to put my makeup in a fishing tackle box, I was not too proud to put my stuff in a manly item.
