Re: Lumiere Emu Oil - smell & benefits
I have been using emu oil for quite some time now. I get mine from Mineral Basics. I normally use the oil but she formulated an emu oil cream that is to die for, i use it on my face, neck elbows and on scars from surgery on my hands and it has faded them greatly. I have adult acne plus dry areas around my eyes and i still use the oil there. My skin has never looked better!

You knew this was coming, but...how long, approximately, did it take for you to see results? lol I'm an adult acne sufferer as well. I'm going to look into this cream version as well. Thanks for the tip.

did anybody break out from this? I think I'm getting whiteheads/pimples from using it a few days.

No, I was worried about this, but it hasn't given me one single pimple. I don't think I'm using enough or maybe it's b/c my face is now bone dry and it's sucking the emu oil up as soon as I put it on!

Re: Lumiere Emu Oil - smell & benefits
I usually break out very easily and never would have thought to put oil on my face, but Emu Oil (and Jojoba Oil) have never broken me out! I use it daily now and my skin is loving it.

Re: Lumiere Emu Oil - smell & benefits
It took only about 2 weeks to notice a difference on my face. On my neck I had this chicken skin thing going on (thanks Mom & Grandma!) but in only a few days
my skin was smoother and much softer, no sign of the bumpiness anymore, so believe me, this is a twice a day routine for me now! I have not experienced any breakouts on my face since I started using this.

I'll be sure to keep it up!! I love my AN oil, but I'm going to check out the emu oil cream that you have from Mineral Basics. Thanks for the tip.

Re: Lumiere Emu Oil - smell & benefits
This is weird. I read this thread, went to search for other suppliers, etc. of emu oil. The search showed nothing, not even this thread!
It sounds like the yellow stuff is what smells. ?

Re: Lumiere Emu Oil - smell & benefits
For the past 2 months I been experimenting with Mineral Makeup and my face got worst after using Lumiere Veena Velvet so now I have a whole bunch of dark blemishes to work on. I hope this Emu oil helps. I think I have a pink bumpy rash (I have body eczema but was never had it on face) on my cheeks which happened after I used Cover girl makeup this Spring. I am in school with no insurance so I can't see a dermatologist.
I usually get frustrated if I don't see quick results which is why I haven't used it regularly. Everyone's descriptions of their experiences with Emu Oil has motivated me to give it a fair trial. I ended up swapping Lumiere's stinky yellow emu oil and kept the Diminish Emu Oil. I am going to use the Diminish regularly on my blemishes and see what happens after a month. I'll report back to you ladies with my results.

The search feature here isn't always reliable. It does that for me sometimes too. As for the kind to use, make sure it says Grade A or 100% Australian Emu Oil. I, and many others here, have the emu oil from Aubrey Nicole, and can be found at a ubreynicole.com.
It is clear with a slight yellow tint and virtually no scent at all, definitely no odor.

Best of luck to you! I know how you feel about wanting to get rid of those scars! I look forward to hearing your results.

Re: Lumiere Emu Oil - smell & benefits
Hello...I use Diana Yvonne emu. I use both the clear and Ultra. Maybe my sniffer is impaired but I don't smell anything when using either. I used to have adult acne but now not so much, only the occasional hormonal pimple (or two). Emu has never caused me to break out because it is non comedogenic and actually has antibacterial properties. I love it!

Re: Lumiere Emu Oil - smell & benefits
AFAIK, refined emu shouldn't have an odor.
