I would say for me it depends on where I live and if its day or night out. Day no. If its night and Im alone at a house in the country then ya. Child hood memories n such as to why I would be.

During the day and night I always keep my doors and windows locked. If someone walks or pulls up in a car I peek out the curtains or look through the door peephole. I don't answer the door unless I recognize the car or person. Otherwise I am not afraid of being alone, not much scares me.

Everytime I'm home alone I always feel somebody is watching me all the time or that somebody is standing in my long hallway.

I don't get scared when I'm home alone; I actually kind of like it, having the house to myself, the peace and quiet, etc. I feel safe at home.

I DO get scared to go out on walks around my neighborhood though. THAT's when I always want to look over my shoulder and stuff like that (and I really wish I didn't feel this way...maybe I should take self-defense or something, would probably make me feel better). I get scared when I LEAVE the house, I guess. Home is my safe haven.

Not so much now that I have moved. When I lived on the south-side I was a bit. I had an outside entrance and the door was flimsy. Plus I found out after I moved that the half-way house, homeless shelter, lots of sex offenders, and a rehab facility were less than a mile away. For the most part it didn't bother me but when I came home at 1 am and an inmate had escaped that day it freaked me out a bit and I walked incredibly fast from my car to the door.

Now that I moved it isn't so bad. I live in a good area which the cops patrol fairly well. I live by 3 schools so no sex offenders and it is mostly rich people. But I am still cautious and don't leave my doors unlocked when I am gone or go for a walk at night. There have been too many attacks on walkers and joggers lately. We have had 3 attacks on women standing outside their apartment between 1-3 pm on the weekends.

I don't like walking in the dark though in the apartment. I have to have one light on at all times when I am awake.

When I lived in my moms house my room used to be in front of the house next to the front door. At night I would get paranoid that someone would break into the house through my window or shoot a bullet through the window so sometimes I would sleep on the floor.
After watching a scary movie such as scream, or watching Buffy the Vampire slayer...I would go sleep in my sisters room in her bed which wasnt in front of the house.

When I come home late at night and there's no one home I rush into the house and first thing I do is let my pitbull out so he can protect me.
If I sleep by myself I make sure to bring his bed into the bedroom next to my bed so my dog sleeps next to me.

When my husband is away,I lock all the doors and windows,take my purse,the cat,and any book I may be reading.I lock us up in the bedroom.I fall asleep with the tv on as well.If I wake up later on,I turn it off and go back to sleep

I'm very scared when im alone!!
-Run through the house turning on all the lights
-Turn the TV loud
-The TV runs the whole night
-I sleep with lights on in the living room
-I sleep with a stungun beside my bed

We all have fears it seems....even though we are smart enough to know that a lot of it is in our imagination.
