Re: Pure Luxe
I'm a big fan of Pure Luxe. I love her eyeshadows and blushes, as well as her primers, foundations, and finishing powders. After moisturizing, I usually fluff on a tiny bit of Powder Eraser, then a tiny bit of Translucent Matte, then just lightly fluff on my foundation (75% Fawn Beige and 25% Buff). I then apply another thin coat of Translucent Matte, then a thin coat of Powder Eraser, then a light coat of April's Mix. I then apply blush and eyeshadows, then spritz. I am then ready for the day and know my makeup will last all day. The thing with Pure Luxe is you do not buff it in, like you do other mineral makeups, you just fluff it on lightly with a fat fluffy brush. If you try to buff it in, it will not look right. Just fluff it on and let it meld to your skin. I've tried Bare Escentuals, Everyday Minerals, Meow, DreamWorld, The She space, Fyrinnae, and several others, but always come back to Pure Luxe. It just works better, for me at least.

Re: Pure Luxe
I have tried tons of Pure Luxe stuff. I just was never that impressed. The cream foundation had specks of unblended pigment in it which streaked on my face when applied. Actually, even the powder foundations had these unblended chunks. I also felt the powder foundation really emphasized my pores. I think they use colored micas in their foundation formula, which I have found just doesn't work for me. Another brands that does this that I have had trouble with is Monave. I know this is the culprit, since their DIY kit recommends adding colored micas to foundations which I played with on my own DIY adventure and the difference of with or without colored micas made a huge difference for my skin appearance. I also had trouble with the eraser, it felt a bit too thick for me, maybe I applied too much, but I never could get it to not ball up.
The eyeshadows were nice, but I find them to be more "watered down" then my favorite shimmers from Bare Escentuals and LaurEss. For example, Pure Luxe has a shadow called Chocolate grapes (or something like that) and it is very similar to LaurEss' Scintillating, but when swatched on the arm, the Scintillating is a stronger, more true to pot, color then the Chocolate Grapes. Seems like maybe they add more sericite to their shimmers then LaurEss or BE do which makes the color more sheer and less strong. I like really strong pigments that are true to pot, but maybe more sheer is preferable to some people.
Just my opinion.

Re: Pure Luxe
i had some samples of their e/s, and i was really impressed by the colours
the pic on PL site doesn't show enough, all my e/s have other sheen on them, and are really pretty
but their e/s aren't pigmented enough, sometimes, i only get shimmer
but w/ their generous samples, i love this brand

Re: Pure Luxe
I got my samples today, and they are very cute
I headed for the cream eraser first, and it was very easy to apply. I think i like it.
Creamy Naturale foundation looked as my closest match so i just went for it,and i was right so far! Its maybe a tiny bit to pale, but this is the closest i have ever been to a match straight from the jar without any mixing. I think the coverage is great, although i`m not in need of any heavy coverage.
I also got Aprils Mix,four other foundation shades, original and medium Powder eraser and Nymph blush. A lot more testing to do!
I have only had the foundation on my face for about three hours, and so far i really like it ( hoping to not get breakouts from it ).

Re: Pure Luxe
I used to love their eraser but its seemed to stop working for me lately even though I still use it. I tried a sample of their cream foundation and hate it. It seems everyone is coming out with this new wet type of foundation. Cream to powder (which I hate) Coverfx seems to be the only line now that has the solid foundation. I found the pure luxe cream went on really streaky and gross and had to wash it off right away.
