Re: Rave for Mad City Sue's B&B Products
Haha, I placed an order today. I'm blaming Aquilah, KellyB, Aprill and Marisol for this

Re: Rave for Mad City Sue's B&B Products
I really love everything I ordered, but does anyone know an expiration date for these products? All of the sugar body scrubs and soaps are fantastic, but I'm not sure I can say the same for the soy body butters. I purchased Italian Cream Cake, (it's pure white) and after 3 weeks, it completely turned all brown and gross. I never left the lid off or anything like that... and 3 weeks is even stretching it, it might have happened sooner. Did this happen to anyone else?

Yup, my vanilla tootsie roll smells like a rotten vanilla milkshake, lmao, I think you really have to use that stuff up, and since I have so many products, after Feb. I really couldnt dedicate myself to it, and opened it up just yesterday and it smelled horrible! It didnt change colors though

Lol Aprill! Sorry it happened to you too, but I'm glad to know it was nothing I did wrong. Yeah, the body butters will take me forever to use up. I love the scrubs though.

I recently got 1 gallon of the same Soy body cream that Sue uses (I sell it myself), it's a base from a company called KY Candle. They say it should last for a year. If a fragrance oil with Vanilla is mixed into this base, it usually turns brown, that might be the case with the Italian Cream cake you ordered. There are vanilla stabilizers that can be mixed into the base to prevent this from happening. I still haven't tried putting fragrance oils with Vanilla in the base yet, but I got this Vanilla stabilizer to prevent the brown color. But the product itself should be ok even though it turns brown like this, but I can imagine it's not very pretty like that

Sue says on her site that products containing vanilla scent may turn, but it doesn't affect the product. My Vanille Coco is pure brown now, but works and smells the same as when I initially got it. The only vanilla scented item I've gotten that doesn't turn is her scrub... Which aren't being sold until after Labor Day due to the heat

I'm kind of surprised why she doesn't use the vanilla color stabilizer to prevent this

I love my scrub... I was just thinking I need more. You're right, my scrub didn't turn either.
So not until after labor day? I will have to stock up then.
