Re: Easiest companies to pick colours from
I got good matches on my first order with Mineral Silk, EDM, Signature, and Meow. Mineral Silk has a good kit, so I was able to work with that to figure things out.

Re: Easiest companies to pick colours from
i agree, with lumiere it was easy, i'm a light medium golden too. got that on my first try.
with edm, i think the descriptions on the (old) site for shades threw me off, especially since that was my first mmu to sample to order and i wasn't as aware of my skin shade/undertone. with the new site, the color swatches i think are really off and they are not really arranged in order of depth. i would still love to find my perfect shade with them, though, and overall it's been a pretty good experience ordering from them. i think they are very affordable too.

Re: Easiest companies to pick colours from
I am still not sure where I stand and am not sure if I have found my colour match.
Monave (Yolanda) - not bad but still testing.
Joppa - Tan Dark but still testing.

Re: Easiest companies to pick colours from
I had trouble finding a match with EDM. Too many shades and I don't find the pictures accurate. I ended up getting MANY samples I can't use (unless I mix them of course). It was much easier with Joppa (maybe as they have far fewer shades!). I also found my match easily with Ocean Mist.

Re: Easiest companies to pick colours from
Gee I've had a difficult time finding a match with Meow and I'm not sure that they actually have an accurate color for someone of my complexion. I also had no success with foundation selection in the EDM line. Lumiere, Barefaced Minerals, and Monave have been quite easy for me to find color matches on the first go round.

Re: Easiest companies to pick colours from
Buff'd was probably my easiest shade match - first try. In fact, I can pretty much wear all three shades I sampled. If you need help with Buff'd shades, Jennifer was awesome at helping me select a couple based on the current foundation I was using. Lumiere was an easy one too.

lol unfortunatly I can't figure out which shade I like best on me! My mom/sis/bf are sick of me asking them 'do I look too pink today?' 'do I look to yellow today?' ...they always just say... 'you look like you today...'

Re: Easiest companies to pick colours from
In each of my first purchases from EDM & Fyrinnae I was able to find the right foundation matches for my skintone. My perfect EDM foundation shade is Cool-Medium. And, my perfect Fyrinnae foundation shade is Topaz.
Now, I must say that the color swatches for EDM foundations are not great! I honestly went with the shade that I was colormatched with in BE's foundation which is Medium (even though the color is a bit off). So, I was definitely lucky that Medium happened to be a good match for me with EDM. Because, EDM foundation color swatches aren't much help honestly. Some of the colors look light on the Internet, but then when you get them home you find out that they are a bit darker than you expected. Or, some of the colors appear very brown or dark on the site. And, then when you get it home it will go on ashy and pasty looking. This is strictly why so many people have to constantly buy sample kit after sample kit to find their right EDM foundation shade or they just end up eventually giving up.

Re: Easiest companies to pick colours from
I never found a match in EDM...Lumiere was super easy for me, so was Mad Minerals! Other companies that are medium in easiness in my experience are Alima, Lauress, Meow.

Re: Easiest companies to pick colours from
the only brand i've tried that is easy in finding a shade match is Larenim..their pressed foundation has only 4 colors so how can i go wrong? hehe
BE, meow and DW -- super hard to find a perfect shade for me...either there's too many option or they look ashy and pale or too pink for my skintone
