Re: Stupid idea, or not?

first of all, pores do not "open" and they do not "close" they simply appear to do so, this is why splashing your face with cold water does not "shrink" the pores.

secondly, evian or any other spray that is purley water only lays the pigment or powder flat and kinda helps. If you want to "fix" your makeup, you need soemthng that will bind the particles together, like mac's fix + or charged waters and if im not mistaken mufe makes a spray as well. HTH and i can get you more info on the waters if you'd like im sure theres a do it yourserlf way

Re: Stupid idea, or not?

If you know of a do it yourself way I'd be interested. I have been thinking about buying Mac Fix+, but the $15 price tag bothers me. How long does it last?

So the claims of facial toners temporarily tightening pores is not true then?

Re: Stupid idea, or not?

There is no diy version of Evian spray.

The spray is only purse Evian spring water but It is the unique nozzle which gives the perfect fine mist. Nothing heavy to dilute the make up. This spray nozzle cannot be copied by any other manufacturer as it is patented. Mac make up fix is also good.

Regarding opening and closing pores I will disagree as I have been teaching and practicing beauty for 20 years.

Steam opens the pores ready for extractions

Toners are not to remove dirt and oil from the skin, this is the job of a cleanser.

1, remove eye make up with make up lotion.
2, cleanse face and neck area with cleanser
3, toner

The toner will remove any excess product which is left on the skin but will not will not cleanse the face from dirt and oil (if they would they would be called cleansers)

The job of a home use toner is to close the pores
