i've been getting phone calls for a mike samantha for 4 years. his mom calls me. his work calls me. his cousin calls me. i tell them i am obviously not mike samantha. they just dont get it.

I've had some weird calls at work, but we're a serviced office and all the numbers associated with our company get sent through me so no surprises we get some weird ones.

My mum got called and the person was like 'I'm calling about your home loan' - and my mum was like, that's funny, we don't have a loan.

Obviously they were trying to scam her into telling them details so they could advertise their own loan service... I thought that was so devious and rude!

I called my brother at work and he usually picks up the phone, so when they picked up I started talking to him in Spanish and the guy kept talking to me, I guess he thought he knew who was on the other end...when all of a sudden he goes....is this Susana or Martha? LOL I felt my stomach drop and I totally just hung up the phone and started laughing...then 20 seconds later my brother called me back and we both started laughing even harder!

Way back when I came to the Corp office we had all the computer terminals in one room which had a telephone that was 2 numbers reversed from a local department store.. And every time they had a slae the phone would ring a lot with people calling about merchandise..

And we would usually just say wrong number.. But one of the female engineers answered the phone one time and this elderly guy starts in about something in the sale ad.. And if it was in stock. So she says "hold on let me check".. And she proceeds to tell us what's going on.. After a minute she gets back on and says "sir, we only have that in extra large ... In pink... But we have plenty in-stock".

Meen while were rolling around on the ground. Laffing our ass's off.. The calls stopped shortly after that.. I think they went out of business .

I always get calls from a number that shows up as "Unknown." Every time but one time I've answered it's been some scratching noises. Once, someone coughed. I can't even block the number. Started around the same time this guy on AIM IMed me and addressed me by my name...too bad I don't know who it is :\

i know when i first met my husband, his ex girl would call nonstop private. one day i finally got sick and tired of it (i had my husband's cellphone, he used to let me have it all the time) and i pretended that she had forgotten to block her number. thats when i got her and she called back without blocking her number. i could go on and on about what happened but the call ended with a f-u on her behalf and i'm married to him today and have a almost 3 yr old son together

I recently got a new cell phone, and I keep getting calls from a local number and I somehow always miss them. I have tried calling the number back a couple times and nobody ever answers. They never leave a voicemail either. So now I am on watch, I want to know who it is. If they had the wrong # you'd think they would stop calling. I have an outgoing message with my name and stuff! Hmm....hopefully the mystery will be solved soon!

I used to get calls from Capital Health Plan for someone named Mandy. Apparently, she was in trouble, b/c I would get these messages and the lady was pissed b/c she wouldnt call them back. When I was there, the lady started yelling at my machine, "Mandy, you HAVE TO, blah blah" I answered it and told them they had the wrong number. Well the lady started screaming at me, "But your message said your name was Amanda!" I said, yes, my name is Amanda, but I dont go by Mandy and dont have capital health plan. She hung up, but the calls continued. They only stopped when I moved to another house.

Once I got a call from a teenage sounding girl, this is the convo:

Her: Let me speak to Claire
Me: I'm sorry You have the wrong number (as I go to hang up)
Her: Don't lie, I know this is her number (I was already pushing the off button so I barely heard it.

She calls back, I answer to confirm to her that she is indeed still calling the wrong number.

Her: Let me talk to Claire
Me: I told you there is no Claire here. You have the wrong number.
Her: It's about work (like I was lying about Claire but Oh it's about work let me get her)
Me: I don't care what it's about you have the wrong number.
Her: Really? Cause this sure sounds like Sandy. Hurry up and put Claire on the phone.
Me: (laughing) I sound like Sandy?
Her: Mmmmhmmm I know its you.
Me: Look you have the wrong number, please don't call anymore.
Her: Just give the phone to claire!

I hung up and she continued to call like 10 times after that. I wonder if she ever realized she really did have the wrong number.

And once I got a call for someone and I told them it was the wrong number. They apologized but then called back again and left a message for the person, that they needed to fill an extra shift for the hospital. I hope they got that filled!

I get them all the time, the one that has stuck in my head though was from a foreign person (i think they were Indian or something) saying they were going to kill me and shouting and ranting down the phone. Probably a prank..
