Re: Don't look good with heavy makeup!

When someone is not used to wearing brighter colors, or more makeup than they do everyday, it is very hard to jump right in, do more makeup and like it. It feels odd bc you aren't used to seeing yourself that way...

This is exactly how I feel when I wear darker lipsticks...I am so used to doing a dramatic eye or blush and a softer lip it feels weird.

If you feel like wearing more, then baby step into it...start with a neutral crease color and maybe carry it a little higher than you usually do, or use a slightly darker shadow, blush or lip color (not all at once of course). But take it slow and see where that gets you!

Re: Don't look good with heavy makeup!

I sometimes dont feel like wearing dark makeup, but I wear it just to practice almost everyday, even though I know it looks funny sometimes. hehe

Re: Don't look good with heavy makeup!

I also prefer lighter applications.

I look better in pinks and glosses.

I will save the heavy look for when I become a Miami Beach Blue hair LOL

Re: Don't look good with heavy makeup!

Personally, I carry the full face look better. I can't use stuff like blusher, or lip glosses alone without full face makeup as I look worse than bared face. So its either full face mu, or just concealer and highlighter alone (even foundation looks weird w/o the full face works). In anyway, I think for your case, the opposite might be true. Its just like how some people actually look better with less or no makeup at all. Funny how this sound, but I used to work with someone who looks a lot better when she's bared face and not wearing makeup

Re: Don't look good with heavy makeup!

I feel like you do at times. I rarely go out in foundation, but I will wear blush, mascara, lip gloss, and eyeshadow (Ex. Nude lip, dramatic eyeshadow or Nudish eyeshadow, bold lipgloss/lipstick, etc.)

But then I go back to envying people with amazing make-up, and that urges me to practice with my make-up. I think the way I put on make-up, if it is heavy contributes to me not putting it on right, at times.

Re: Don't look good with heavy makeup!

I see many woman who wear a lot of makeup and I think they could use a little less, while others could wear a little more. It depends on the person and how they feel, how comfortable they are wearing make up and how they want to present themselves. There is no hard and fast rule.

My self I have to wear a full face in girl mode or I look real bad.
