I don't think ankle straps will really shorten the appearance of your legs unless they're thick. I've always thought that thin little straps were super sexy though. If you're not sure about ankle straps, perhaps you could wear sling-back peep toes? I thought these were cute .

For some reason I'm getting the whole Sarah Jessica Parker vibe. I think it'd look absolutely stunning with a big, white brooch of some sort. Not quite sure if it should be fluffly or something but I think it'd add a sexy touch to this dress.

The dress is gorgeous! Peep toed shoes tend to make you look taller, if you are worried about your legs looking shorter, steer clear of an ankle strap, they break up the leg and give it the appearance of looking shorter.

I'd say keep the accesories simple, it's a great dress and has a lot of detail in itself. Perhaps a pair of coloured shoes and a coloured clutch. Then you can play up your make up/hair a bit more.
