Re: Thanks...But It's Just Not My Kind Of Thing.
I love camping! ok not popular here. many good times
My biggest No THanks was getting invited to ballet recitals for my niece when she was around 7. Oh it was nice for the 45 sec she was on the stage, but the other 1 hr 59 min and 15 sec were excruciating!

Re: Thanks...But It's Just Not My Kind Of Thing.
Clubs. I absolutely hate clubs, i don't drink, i don't listen to the music they play in clubs, i don't smoke anything. and there's always the chance someone might slip something in my soda. so really, no thanks.
there's also the salad party thing. because every time we eat a salad or raw veggies, comes the dreaded sauces and of course, the host has to pour it directly in the salad bowl. usually i'll pass on it saying raw veggies kill my poor digestion (not entirely a lie), or i have to explain in long sentences why i just don't like anything with vinegar in it.
i don't mind camping, childhood memories here ! I have my weapons against all kinds of insects, i know how to build a wasp trap with strawberry jam/syrup and a bottle of water, the only thing i stay away from is the camping stove, too dangerous for my fingers.

Re: Thanks...But It's Just Not My Kind Of Thing.
I hate being invited to partys, no matter what kind they are, i am not a party person, i think they are all GAY, drinking, stupidest thing people could ever do, i got so drunk one time drinking tekila i went unconcious, that was the first and the last time i drank alcohol, yuck!
Dancing, omg, i like dancing but just when im at home on my own haha! [yeah i know what fun is that] but i dread dancing at clubs and stuff like that. Another thing i hate is being invited to clubs, and strip clubs [tackyness]
To go to public events, i have agoraphobia, which is fear to be in public places, i get anxiety attacks. mild ones but yeah.
Dont like going to the circus either. And i would hate to go out camping and sleep in a tent, and not being able to go to the bathroom and shower! ugh. So i've never gone out camping because of that.
gosh there are tons more i could mention, i just can't think of them all right now LOL!

Re: Thanks...But It's Just Not My Kind Of Thing.
The only thing I can say that I really hate to get asked is to go out to dinner with my friends-- like spur of the moment, a half hour before they are leaving for dinner. I will GLADLY go out to dinner with my friends, but they have to realize... I'm a mom so I'm making dinner for my family. If you wan't me to go out to dinner with you, call me in the early afternoon. Then I can plan a dinner for my family, and still go out with the friends.

Re: Thanks...But It's Just Not My Kind Of Thing.
Lol I was sure I'd posted here, but i can't find what I said.
I used to like clubbing... I usually go when people invite me, but... it's like, a whole lot of old people dressing in young clothing, as well as a whole lot of just-18 year olds. Then I get hit on the least attractive of both age groups. Not fun. I have never ever had someone halfway attractive (not modelesque, just not ugly) or NORMAL hit on me. I have many horror stories in that regard. And everyone is drunk and making a fool of themselves. I much prefer to have a few bottles of wine and make a fool of myself over dinner at someone's house, or house parties in general!
In oz, we don't have the smoking in clubs problem anymore, since we have anti smoking laws. Instead, clubs smell like vomit, wet floors and alcohol. Hot!
Other than that, I'm pretty open, but I hate hate hate being invited to chinese. I dont like seafood so most of the food my friends order is a no-go for me, I eat maybe half a spring roll and a pork bun and then we split the bill and I end up paying $45 for it!! And every time I think I'll eat more, so I agree to split, and then I hardly eat a thing and get ripped off. Sigh.

Omg, I hate that too! Being invited last minute or planning stuff and telling me to get ready in 15 minutes. I hate being rushed... or when you already have plans.

reminds me of the last chinese restaurant with the fencing club. ended paying way more than what i ordered.
i forgot to add i don't like much weddings. all of those i've been were for family or my parents' friends. it was alright, i ended up having fun, but i don't like how my new related granduncle comes to me like he's known me for ages, and i don't like how in order to not get bored, i stay close to the buffet table, always eating something and drinking a glass of non alcoholic stuff.

Re: Thanks...But It's Just Not My Kind Of Thing.
I'm not a big fan of getting invited to:
weddings, because they last too long and normally, they aren't too much fun.
baby showers. I'm not a big fan of the cheesy games and everyone 'oohing' and 'awwing' over the same things over and over.
family outings that are at my weird aunt and uncle's house that's too small for everyone to be at anyway... that might sound mean but you'd understand if you were in my shoes.
Aside from that, I'm all for anything else... especially camping, lol!
