Almay Clear Complexion Blemish Healing Makeup
Doesn't blend well, very flaky
Cons: Difficult to blend, emphasizes raised pimples
For what Almay was promising, they didn't come through. I never noticed any clearing of blemishes while using the product. Found the formula dried out my skin, foundation flakes off almost immediately, very difficult to blend in. Would not purchase again.
Best Drugstore Foundation for Combination Skin
Pros: Works
Cons: Not super long-lasting
I have combination skin, and if I put anything with oil on my face, I break out. I have a strict skincare routine, and I stick to it. I use only department store brands for the rest of my makeup most of the time, but I haven't found a foundation that both 1) matches my skin color and 2) doesn't cause break-outs at the department store. My only complaint is that it is a light-medium coverage makeup, and it doesn't last all day. Having said that, I love that I can wear it every single day and know that my skin will stay clear. It looks natural. I have fair skin with golden undertones, which is hard to match with makeup, and this brand's "Buff" works perfectly for me. When I am tan in the summer, the next shade, "Naked" is perfect. It needs no primer. At under $15 for a bottle, it's super cheap!
