Twinkle should not be classified as an eyeshadow. It is not very pigmented; it does not cling to my lids; it gets glitter over EVERYTHING! But don't get me wrong. I do like Twinkle very much. I use it almost daily - as a highlighter!
Twinkle is a very sheer, beige eyeshadow that has tons of glitter in it. It comes in the traditional brown Laura Mercier case, which I really like for some reason. Also, Twinkle looks beautiful in the pan and I guess that's why I fell for it. I liked the look of this shadow so much that when it failed to perform as a regular eyeshadow should, I tried it out in so many other ways because I was determined to use it for SOMETHING! When I used it to highlight under my brows, to lighten up dark colors and to add some 'umph' to drab colors, I was totally pleased. I use it most often as a highlighter and in that capacity it performs wonderfully! It really brightens up my eyes and I love it! A bit of this swiped over a matte shadow really adds life to the look.
One word of caution: when I use this, I have to hold a tissue under the area to which this is being applied. Otherwise, the vast amount of glitter in this shadow will get over any part of my face that is not covered and totally ruin my makeup.
I love Twinkle, but this shadow cannot stand alone, at least, not for me. Its a beautiful, sheer color and if you want to add a bit of excitement to your makeup look, then Twinkle can really get the job done.
I'm sure that if I ever run out of this, I'll buy it again.
