When I first started using Bare Minerals I didn't buy the Mineral Veil. But man, when I finally did get it and started using it my overall appearance improved tremendously. I was amazed. I have extremely oily skin and this makes my makeup look fresh all day.
The product lasts a long time and is easy to apply. I would recommend this product to anyone.
Pros:It's practically weightless, easy to apply, & makes my skin almost 100% shine free. Cons:That I didn't find the product sooner!
Oh how i love Mineral veil. It is not an ordinary loose
powder for me. It has Magic that it absorbs shine perfectly. This is
the first product by Bare Escentuals i ever bought. I have a very oily
skin and the excessive oil always wash out my makeups but i don't have
to worry with MV. I remember when i first wearing MV, i went to a
dinner function which i was the committee, i was among the first to
arive before the guests, and i was among the last to leave
(6pm-12midnight). I was so worried about my makeups, i was afraid it
would fade because i wash mingled here and there and rushing here and
there. When i went home the first thing i did was looking in the mirror
to check my makeups. To my suprise, my makeups still there and stil
fresh, like i just finish putting my makeups! Not oily at all...
Pros:Absorbs shine, makes makeups stay longer, need very small amount at one time, non-comedegenic - mineral based makeups. Cons:Does not have SPF
I love the BE foundation and this Mineral Veil is no exception. Adds a flawless finish to my face and doesn't look ghost-like or maskey as some powders can. Adds no color whatsoever and keeps my oily skin oil free all day. Great stuff!Â

This is a nice powder for giving a soft-focus effect.� It sort of smoothes little lines and gives you a nice finished look.��I like it too for toning down blush if I happen to get a bit overzealous with it.� I would like to find a product like this but gives you a little less of a matte finish.� Sometimes I will add a lillte bit of BE Clear Radiance to my Mineral Veil to add a little "radiance".�������

Love love love!! I am so satisfied with this product. It is such a
nice translucent powder that reduces shine and leave a soft natural
look. It also has spf, and so I use it every day even if I go without
foundation or any other makeup. It doesn't seem to work too well over
cream cosmetics. I don't have too many cream cosmetics, but I have used
it over cream eyeshadow. It set the cream eyeshadow really well, but it
also emphasized the creases. Â

I'm test driving this along with the mineral foundation, and so far, so good! I used a regular powder brush to apply this, and I think I will try it again tomorrow with a different brush. I agree with the previous reviewer that this could be chalky on darker skintones, but it seemed to be fine on me since my skin is light. I didn't really notice much oil control, but then again it was a rainy and humid day. I like it so far and will continue to test drive this for a few more days. So far, so good, and I'm planning on purchasing a full size.
I really like mineral veil. It's a translucent powder that is used over your foundation. It claims to soak up oil and I definately have noticed that my skin is not as shiny at the end of the day! This can look chalky if applied to heavily and it might end up being chalky on darker skin tones, not sure since I'm pretty light. This is also great as a mascara primer, it plumps up my lashes a bit! Overall a great powder!
