This lip plumper does work but no-one can notice it on me unless I point it out to them or have them try the product themselves. It stings, it is spicy, I would much rather have on a gloss that feels better on my lips - After maybe 20 minutes of having this on I want to get it off because it doesn't feel good. It does work though.
Pros:plumps lips - bigger, Cons:too spicy, slightly irritating on lips, hyped up too much
LOL. I have a funny story about this product. I received it as a Christmas stocking stuffer and thought it was cute. I liked the texture of the gloss and how shiney it made my lips, but was disappointed that if had no effect on me.
What I didn't take into account was that it could have an effect on others. Namely, my SO. I didn't think twice about kissing him while I was wearing this because I thought the product was a dud. Well... it works on him. His lips started to burn and turned very pink and full. To this day he still accuses me of booby trapping him.

Have heard mixed reviews of this 'original' lip plumping gloss - I personally like it... my lips are naturally quite pink n full n this just made them a bit more so - I love the way the gloss lasts for ages and the smell is gorgeous. Only annoying thing is the tingle which an verge on wierd at times. Love the packaging tho surprising when quite a tiny bottle comes out lol - will buy again (will need to lol) - only gloss i use a lot atm :)
I liked the brush applicator and the glossy shine but that was
about it. I dont think that having a chapped lips effect is sexy and
this is exactly what this product gave me. I like the cinnamon smell
also but its not worth it with this product.
I've used this for short while. I'm not really sure if this review or other reviews can help anybody, as it says 'works differently on each person' but I can tell you my own experience with it.
I didn't notice much of a change at all, it did leave a nice shine to it, it didn't last very long & I'm not even sure if it plumped my lips up. If it did then it was so subtle I didn't notice anything different. So I went up to friends & asked them at seperate times & they didn't notice anything different either.
I know that there was just an article out on this lip venom on Lindsey Lohan, about some person thinking she had her lips done over, but she insisted it was DuWop Lip Venom. I heard models used this as well ... famous victoria's secret supermodel Gisele Bundchen is a fan of it.
After I had applied it, it did give me a little bit of a stinging sensation. I had read a lot about this & its the cinnamon oils doing this, which is suppose to create a plumping effect.... But then I also heard that it isn't healthy for your lips and over time ruins them. So I stopped!!! The gloss is pretty thick when you apply it, I bought this through sephora, & what you get is about a pinky size container.
I hope you have better luck !
Pros:+ creates a shine Cons:- pricey
- didn't work for me !
After all the hype, I bought this lip gloss and have tried it on numerous actresses to see if it does, in fact, plump the lips. I've only seen a noticeable change in one girl (probably due to the fact she has extremely sensitive skin). So it's a bit of crap shoot if this product will work on you. The tingly sensation can be anywhere from "ooh, fun!" to "spicy" to "burning", depending on your tolerance for strong cinnamon. :)
I like the little vial it comes in, although there isn't much inside! I say, test it at Sephora before you cough up $15 bucks.
Pros:fun tingly/spicy sensation Cons:only works on some people
Lip Venom is touted as a limp gloss that plumps and enhances the natural color of your lips. It does plump them but it also stings. You can't have chapped lips at all to use this stuff or it would hurt like crazy. It does give your lips a pretty natural color and shine. The effects of it don't last too long though. It is not an everyday product in my opinion. It is kind of fun for going out on a date to give you a nice pouty look. I would buy it again but probably won't need to for a while.
DuWops most famous product, lip venom.
This cinnamon scented lipgloss is supposed to make your lips look and feel plumper.
But it's contraversal.
Some people absolutely LOVE Lip venom, where as others hate the sting the gloss creates while 'plumping'.
Some dont see any difference, where as others see a dramatic change.
And with a price of $15.oo a gloss, it's not exactly something you want to rush out and buy, just to find you hate it.
My advice for anybody who's interested in trying it, is to try samples.
Just email them and ask for a few, it only takes a week for it to get to you.
I personally like it, but I scarred my boyfriend for life, I think, by kissing him after putting the gloss on.
Note to self - boyfriends dont necessarily want plump lips too.
