I love it also. I agree that it is not comparable to Vasaline. Rosebud Salve has more of a feel of saliva. Kind of gross but when it is on, it does not feel gross at all. I like the idea that I could also use some on my flyaway hair in the winter or on my cuticles. Also if I deceided to apply lip pencil afterwards, I find the intensity of the colour,of the pencil is not much affected. (the colour does not go on that much lighter compared to other lipbalms or clear lipgloss.
Pros:Multi-purpose Cons:Could melt in the summer and leak out of the tub.
Love this stuff - gave it a 4 because of the packaging...if they could manage to get it into a tube, I'd be set. I know that the smell takes getting used to (it's pleasant but I can see how others might not find it so) but using it long term really makes a difference.
Â
It isn't just vaseline with smell; the results I get are better with this. This is also better than my previous HG Kiehl's Lip Balm. I used to love Kiehls but Rosebud is somehow better, it's also less sticky. That said, it does warrant reapplication because of this.
Â
Reapplication doesn't bother me given the result- I had HUGE problems with chapped lips before I found this stuff. So bad my lips would crack and bleed. And it was ALL the time - winter, summer. I don't know where it came from. Nothing helped - not Kiehls, not vaseline, not even doctor prescribed hydracortisone. Until I started with this stuff. Now my lips have returned to their previous soft selves and I'm never looking back!

Pros:great quality
not expensive Cons:packaging - tin isn't always handy
it wears off quicker than most
This is a great lip balm. I love the scent of it (Rose) and it lasts a
long time. I carry one in my purse with me at all times. I also like
the tin can that it comes in. Its big enough so that I can put my lips
in it and not have to get my fingers messy from applying the lip balm.Â
This salve has other uses (diaper rash, soothing cuticles, etc) but I
haven't used it for that purpose. It leaves my lips really soft and
supple.
Review: Here's a good example of how product placement can trick you into buying things. I saw this countless times in magazines listing all the celebrities who could not live without it. Somehow that was enough to propel me into purchasing it. Good Lord, what a mistake. To me, this is rose scented vaseline. I hate the tin, the product is goopy, and I don't like its texture on my mouth. I gave it to a younger cousin who is just as taken by its cult status as I was when I bought it. She loves the stuff and swears that she's the coolest girl in the 5th grade because she has it.

I LOVE THIS!! I have 5 of them laying around the house. Very
moisturising. Has a light rose scent to it, but it's not overwhelming.
I like that it's a wider pot so that I can dip my lips into it. Lasts a
LONG time. It also gives just a tiny bit of color to my lips since it's
kind of a light rosey pink shade, but very sheer. Â
I had heard soo much about this so-called wonder balm, that I had to buy it. Sadly it smells like a funeral home and the petroleum dried my lips even more. And the taste was terrible. Not impressed, but hey it was only 6.00!
I been hearing about it, reading that its a fav of actresses but I
never got to try it myself. Yesterday I found it at Bath and Body Works
and bought it. I am not that much of a fan of pots of lip balms like
tubes more but I thought I would give it a chance.
Boy wow I
surprised about it! Its great! Its just your basic lip balm but it goes
on smooth and you get a lot more than most for little money. There
really isn't a favor but I do taste a hint of cherry. Its last like
your lip balm should and taking very good care of my lips. I will be
sure to buy it again!Â
Pros:Its everything I heard good about it and more Cons:Its in a pot not a tube but thats just personal likes
