Everybody note that the pic below is not of the Maybelline Lineworks liner, but of their regular liquid liner. The lineworks liner has a felt tip brush and is pretty easy to hold. It gives a continuous waterproof coverage for about 8 hours. It is still pretty good after that, but I noticed it starts to flake a bit after that, so you'll probably need a touch up.
Pros:waterproof, long lasting, easy to hold Cons:flakes a bit
This is the best liquid eye liner I have ever used... Goes on easy and smooth. Very good thickness control. Never runs and drys quickly. Wears very good. Cleans up easy with eye makeup remover and water. Love the applicator, it fits my hand perfectly. The only big problem is that maybelline discontinued this product a few months ago. I sent them a somplaint and got a nice email back saying basically "Too Bad" lol
Of couse I am still on my hunt for an eyeliner that stays on the inner rims all day. This one is almost there. It does collect in the inner corners, but not very much and it does stay put for quite a while. This gets 5 stars if you don't line on your inner rims, cause it is cheap, has great blendability, and is long lasting and smooth. I got mine 40% off at walgreens, so be on the lookout for sales.
Pros:cheap, smooth, blendable, long lasting Cons:doesn't stay on inner rims.
this is a great waterproof liquid liner with a real liquid brush, not felt tipped. if you are a brush user, you will like this. the brush hairs are not too long so it gives more control, although it is a bit blunt, so it's geared toward a very mod looking line.
it is also TOTALLY waterproof. i love that.
only comes in black
Pros:stays on all day. Cons:no other colors, made for thick lines only
The best waterproof liquid eyeliner in the drugstore market. This lasts longer and is less likely to smudge compared to Revlon's Colorstay Liquid Eyeliner, but of course, a higher end liner such as Makeup Forever's eyeliner works much better. I use the version with the felt-tip applicator which is easier to control and allows for a thin or bold line. However, this product is not completely waterproof as it claims to be. It holds excellently along the upper lashline all day long, but beware of smudging on the outer corners of eyes. Overall a great product for its cheap price.
This eyeliner is the worst product i have ever brought. The color was a light grey against my complexion and the color was supposed to be ebony black. I had to keep layering the eyeliner just to get this mediocre color of grey. This product doesn't last long at all. I can wipe this stuff off with a tissue and some water. I will never bother buying this again.
I would not buy this liner again. This liner took me many, many stroke to get decent color/pigment onto the lids, and the product was not smooth at all and tugged significantly on my lids. The staying power was poor. The only bonus is that it does draw thin lines well, but what is the point if it tuggs my skin like crazy, doesn't last, and the color doesn't impart well?
I bought this as a bold strong waterproof (budge proof) eyeliner I could wear and not worry about smudging. That is until I discovered Mac's Fluidlines! This is another one of those weird pointy tip applicators that I do not like, it doesn't really classify as a brush. Therefore the application is a bit tricky and harder to perfect. If the applicator was different, this liner might not be too bad. Did not irritate my eyes, dries fast and doesn't smudge, wears well.
My skin: NW25/sensitive/hyper-oily/acne prone w/ pink undertones.
Pros:bold dark black smudge proof or waterproof Cons:bad applicator, hard to apply with perfection
The applicator is easy to use, you can create either a thin line or a thick one, according to your taste. It is not waterproof, so it tends to rub off easily, especially if you cry or you rub your eyelids.
I love this product. This is my first liquid eyeliner and it took me a while to master it, but once I have its amazing. It is extremely waterproof, after I take all my makeup off at night its still there. That could be a con I guess but for me it’s a pro. I will absolutely buy this again
Pros:extremely waterproof Cons:wont wash off at night, hard to master
Since the name of the color is "Navy", I assumed this would be a dark, navy blue. However, it ended up being a bright blue with a hint of green, almost a turquoise color on my skin! Quite a dissapointment!
However, if you don't mind the color, this is otherwise a good eyeliner. It is an automatic pencil with a very nice soft lead, and comes with a sharpener and a foam tip for smudging built into the end of the pencil. It also lasts all day with a base. I think it cost about $5-6 at CVS Pharmacy.
Pros:Lasts all day, soft lead, good packaging Cons:Not the color depicted on the box
