This tinted moisturizer has been a life saver for me. I recently had broken out rather bad and this was just about the only type of coverage I could use that didnt aggrevate my skin. The moisturizer goes on very light, doesnt feel like a foundation at all, yet it is buildable. Because it is not a foundation, it is not really a 'full coverage' sort of foundation but it did cover more than I had anticipated. It is a bit expensive, but it is WELL worth the price, whether you just want some lighter for the summer months or you're looking for something less heavy if you have problematic skin.
Also because it is a moisturizer it is easier to blend and find your color match.
The only thing I saw as a 'con' was that this gives more of a dewy finish, which is not necessarily bad but if you're used to more of a matte finsh you may be dissapointed....but I would assume that if you applied a powder that this would matte you up a bit. Im not as used to a dewy sort of finish so at times I felt I looked oily
Pros:lightweight, blends well, easy on problem skin, buildable Cons:price, dewy finish
I had been looking at Tinted Moisturizers for a while...My skin is in good condition, and I really don't like the feeling of heavy foundations, so I thought I'd try T.M. At Nordies, the Laura Mercier sales girl matched me with the T.M. in Nude. I love this stuff!! The coverage can be as sheer as you want, or buildable. The consistancy is somewhere between light moisturizer and liquid foundation...Not at all heavy. I like the way this evens out my skin, and covers small flaws, all without feeling sticky or heavy. It's perfect for summer (esp. humid days when makeup tends to feel like it's 'melting' off your face). Since I've had this, I've used it every time I wear makeup. I don't only use it in the summer, though...this stuff is SO good, it's become my my go-to favorite. It's a little expensive at $40, but then again, *most* high-end foundations and Tinted Moisturizers are in that price range...And there's plenty of product in the tube..Like I said, I've been using it almost every day for almost a year now, and I still have a decent amount left. I am going to get another tube on my next trip to the mall. Also, I like this product so much, I am going to try one of her foundations. Great stuff!!!!!
Pros:Buildable coverage, great consistancy, covers well, product lasts a long time.. Cons:A little spendy, but it IS worth it....
I really like this product. Its more of a sheer foundation than a tinted moisturizer, although its still real light on the skin and looks real natural. I have extremely sensitve acne prone skin and this is the only moisturizer that I've found that hasen't caused me to brake out and actually covers my current acne and don't even have to wear a concealor! Im so happy with this product. I like it more than mineral foundation, which was the other thing that I had found that didn't break my skin out as much. I would def recommend this product and I would def buy it again.
Pros:Everthing, Worth every penny! Cons:Maybe size of container, wish it was a bit bigger and had more product.
I love the pump bottle because I don't like having to pour out my foundations and I dont like jars. Pumps just keep things neat and tidy! As for the foundation, I love the consistency and the wear is fabulous! The color match was fantastic, a great neutral beige without the pink that so many have! Hoorah for Laura for going more towards the neutral than the pink!
I love this product so much! It's easy to blend and provides sheer (but buildable) coverage with SPF 15 (a must) and does a fabulous job at evening skin tone. The casing is PLASTIC packed with a twist up lid and plenty of product (I'm still on my bottle at 4 months and while using it everyday!) But not a good "workout makeup choice". Can melt when sweating and too hot and can fade away with time. But it last a decent amount of time.
Pros:Good color selection, so comfortable and easy to blend it's mistake proof! Cons:Can melt off when sweating, a bit pricey.
I bought this foundation a week ago and I have to say it really works for me. I feel like I can go out and not have to worry about whether or not my make up is 'wearing off' as I did before. It gives really good coverage and although expensive I'd definitely buy it again. I'd reccomend buying it in a store rather than online so that you can test which colour blends in best. I use it in combination with the Laura Mercier oil free primer and have found that they work really well together. I highly reccomend this product!
Pros:Great coverage whillst looking natural and lasts. Cons:expensive for quite a small amount
Light weight, matte finish, controls oil, sheer, evens outs skin tone, buildable, smooth, hydrating, SPF 20, non-irritating, good for sensitive, oily, and acne-prone skin types.
Today I received my new 'Tinted Moisturizer - Oil Free' by Laura Mercier. I had to go right upstairs, wash my face and try it. I gotta say, it feels wonderful. The tube looks black in the picture, but is actually a dark bronzy brown color.
On clean skin, I first applied Oil Free Primer (LM) as suggested in brochure, and then this Tinted Moisturizer. Feels like naked skin, very light weight, gives a matte finish, and controls oil (almost a dewy-matte finish, if that makes sense). I did have to blot a few times but I've got extremely oily skin.
The shade I picked was a good match (Fawn). For reference my skin tone = NW25 (Mac SFF). Sheer finish (obviously) andevens out my skin tone. Buildable. Smooth, hydrating, can be reapplied as needed, SPF 20, good for sensitive skin and acne prone. This was non-irritating to my skin (I have sensitive and acne prone skin).
All in all a very nice (top-notch) light-weight tinted moisturizer.
Pros:light weight, buildable, SPF 20, sheer, oil control, ok for acne prone and sensitive skin types Cons:Pricey, but darn well worth it
My skin type: Seasonal skin, oily/normal/dry, prone to acne/blemish.
I love this foundation; I purchased this product a month ago, ordered it
online from local online makeup store in Japan.
I'm lucky to get the right color for my skin tone. The bottle
application is handy with the pump applicator.
I've never really cared about getting foundation whether it's oil-fre
or not before, because I rarely have problems with my skin.
But, after my 25th birthday last year, my skin has become prone to acne
and now I have to be very careful to check the label ingredients for every
cosmetics I purchase.
This is my second liquid foundation I've ever used. My first one was
Esteelauder LF. But I didn't like it that much because I didn't get the
right tone for my skin. LM oil-free foundation gives my skin enough coverage and didn't dry my
skin at all. I didn't use it all over my face; I just use it to cover
splothchies, eyes, nose or blemish. One more thing, I didn't get any breakouts from this product.
Update: This foundation turns out to be cakey and accentuate pores and little bit drying for my skin. I think my skin is changing again now. And I hate the packaging, I accidentally dropped it and broke the cap!
Pros:Oil-Free, Non-drying. Cons:Accentuate pores.
Difficult to get from overseas countries.
Expensive
I so wanted to love this foundation as i love the laura mercier finishing powder. I have hunted high and low for the perfect shade of foundation for my fair skin. I have tried MANY brands, including estee lauder, lancome, clinique, dior and prescriptives and they were all too orange for my skin. This was no different. The pump dispenser bottle seems great at first but it clogs easily and is fiddly. The foundation itself is light to medium coverage and even after careful application and setting it with powder, it looked blotchy on my skin and wore off within just a few hours leaving my skin looking a horrible dirty colour-NOT a good look! I was very un-impressed with this overall and would definitely not repurchase it agin. It also takes a while to dry as it goes on quite 'dewy' and i think it is not worth any of the £30.00 price tag as it just does not do the job.
Pros:none Cons:wears off VERY quickly, not worth the money.
I waited a long-time to get this foundation and finally decided to get it. I'm so glad I did. Blush Ivory is a great match for my fair skin. It's not too pale or too dark like a lot of foundations tend to look on my skin. The coverage is full but not unnatural. The foundation covers all the flaws great without making it look like I have tons of makeup on. I found applying tips from lauramercier.com and it says that if you want more sheer coverage this can be mixed with the tinted moisturizer. I do that on days I want more of sheer coverage but more than what just a tinted moisturizer would give. I use fingers to apply it although Laura Mercier recommends a makeup sponge. It last a long time and no breakouts.
Pros:Long-lasting, full coverage, no breakouts Cons:price
I think this might be my HG foundation. I've always bought oil-free thinking the oil would make me break out. But, I do have dry cheeks & chin and my skin seems to like this product. It doesn't have that too thick texture ot too thin. It's right in the middle. It's blends nicely, covers good and doesn't have any weird smell to it. (I have Combo & Senstive skin)

When I first tried it I really loved it..Actually does moisturize as it says..Sadly even this shade which was the closest match to my coloring was still too peachy for me
Wasn't sure which category this should go under..I think of it more as a sheer foundation then a moisturizer.Great for summer gives sheer coverage just evening out your skintone and not adding too much in the way of color..Also an extra added bonus of spf 20
