When I was in NYC at the end of July, I schlepped over to the MUFE store from Penn Station in the brief time I had before I had to catch the A train to JFK just so I could try this foundation. Of course, my color was sold out but they gave me a sample. Can I just say love? The first couple of times I tried it, I used a foundation brush and it didn't come out that great, plus it flaked on my chin. Turns out the flaking was from a sunscreen I've been using. With a good primer, this stuff stays on really well and with a Sonia Kashuk elliptical sponge it applies beautifully (I stipple). One of the things I *love* about it is that when I apply it, I don't look like I'm wearing foundation -- it looks like my skin. It also looks amazing in photographs. MUFE has created a very wide range of shades in this foundation, too, which is great. If I actually start getting wedding clients, I'm going to be buying this for foundation.
Pros:Looks like my own skin only better, very lightweight feel, photographs well, beautiful in person... Cons:Expensive! Also, without primer it doesn't look as good, but isn't that true of most, if not all, foundations?
I used Face & Body foundation for my wedding and I've worn it both before and since. Every time, it's stayed on until I take it off. The only problem is that I need to do multiple coats because it's so sheer. It looks like my skin only better and it photographs beautifully.
Pros:Stays on all day *and* night, doesn't sweat off, doesn't run with tears, basically it doesn't budge, looks like my natural skin, feels so lightweight sometimes I forget I'm wearing it. Cons:Need multiple applications for good coverage, have to wait between each "coat" for the foundation to dry, which takes a little while. Also, it has a strong fragrance which could be a problem for some people and the glass bottle, while durable, is a little heavy.
purchased this in Natural and I absolutely loved the smell of it. It's like a green-tea sweetness and very calming. The only problem is that it made my face have an orange tint to it. It's very watery-like in consistency and overall didn't do anything to my skin but make it orange with an obvious different shade on my face in comparison to the rest of my body. It didn't create and even toned look and you could also just barely touch your face and it leave a print on whatever had pressed against it. You do get a good bit for 8 bucks but overall it just wasn't worth it for me.
Pros:Cheap for a tinted moisturizer, smells very pleasant Cons:turned orange no matter what, came off by barely touching your face
I tried this product on a whim despite it's hefty price tag. With that said, you do get a lot for your buck. I have used it everyday for the past three months and am only a quarter of the way through the bottle! I have very light skin so finding a shade that works well is very hard but this is spot on! It is advertised as having a tightening effect on the skin which makes it ideal for mature skin. I don't notice that effect much but I am only 26 and don't have wrinkles. The coverage is light to medium depending on how you apply. It definitely leaves your skin flawless and radiant without feeling overly heavy.
Pros:pump dispenser, flawless coverage Cons:price(but worth it) only available at Sephora
I love this. It's a new HG for me. It lasts all day and stays pretty matte most of the day. By the end of the day, my face is kind of dewy but doesn't look greasy and this is without a touchup. The coverage is pretty full so I only need to use a little bit. The packaging is a plastic squeeze tube so it makes it a lot harder to break and only the amount you need comes out. A bit expensive but totally worth it since I have to use less it'll last a long time. It comes in a shade lighter than NC15 which is a plus for me. 15 is just a bit lighter than NC15 so I have to mix it with something else.
This is a really great foundation. It gives a lot of coverage, so only a small amount is needed. I like to apply it with MAC's 187 brush.
It comes in a squeeze bottle, which is great. It gives a really nice, flawless finish. You don't even need concealer since this foundation covers up everything.
This product is very lightweight, yet smooths over pores quite well. Nice natural dewy finish.
Unfortunately, it wears off my dry face in about 3 hours' time. Great for if I'm just going out to the store or something, but not if I want a foundation that'll last all day at school.
Pros:Natural, lightweight, nice finish. Cons:Wears off quick!
This is my new HG liquid foundation! It is so light and silky that I feel like I'm not wearing anything on my face. It gives me a medium coverage and my face glows after applying it. One thing I must mention is that it is waterproof!!! So, you can wear it to play sports and even swimming because sweats and water won't affect your foundation at all! I use wedge to apply this liquid foundation which is more easier to get my work done. I'll absolutely buy this again!
Pros:water-proof, light and silky, not greasy Cons:none
This is the best foundation I've ever tried...this is my HG foundation! This is so silky and soft...it gives a radiance and glows...it is a light formula yet with good coverage...then apply pressed powder...I am already in love with this product!!!
If you want a full coverage, matte foundation that will last all day, then this is it. And when I say full coverage & matte, I mean full coverage & matte!
It's oil-free, so it won't clog your pores. If you want a sheer to medium finish, then use a damp sponge or foundation brush to apply.
I personally probably wouldn't buy this again because I like to use my fingers to apply foundation to my face. I also prefer a sheer to medium buildable coverage foundation.
