i've tried many, many, many foundation primer and nothing beats this primer!! it preps my foundatios for a flawless and natural finish, and its oil-free!!
Pros:oil-free
very effective
best primer!!
great price! Cons:none!
I have to say that I love this primer! Use to use mac, and had a roll problem (it would dry and roll up when I put on foundation). This glides on, creates an oil free look that lasts all day. Will by more!
I now have a couple samples of the Laura Mercer Foundation Primer Oil-Free. This is a nice light oil-free primer. This is formulated for oily, sensitive acne-prone skin. A little goes a long way with this. Helps to give a smoother finish before applying foundation. Non-irritating to my sensitive skin. Helps matte my skin (mementarily). Claims to help the staying power of foundation, I have not really noticed much difference (probably because I'm hyper oily).
This does not however help control my oil, and I do not notice a difference when using this primer, as compared to no primer at all.
My skin: NW25/sensitive/hyper-oily/acne prone w/ pink undertones.
Pros:smooths, gives matte silky finish, oil free Cons:pricey, and doesn't help my oily skin
The MA at the Laura Mercier counter gave me two samples of this primer. It is a good primer and makeup did last a long time, but it feels like a light weight lotion on top of my moisturizer. I won't be buying once the samples run out.
I do love this primer. It is a bit pricey..but a little goes goes a long way. It makes my skin smooth ..so that my foundation goes on more evenly. One of the best reasons that I like it is that is clear...so it doesn't mess up your foundation color. Keeps my mu fresh with very little touch-ups if any.
I really like this primer. It evens out the skin tone and creates a smooth surface to prepare the skin for the foundation. The foundation goes on nicely and stays on longer. I don't use this every day but it's nice to use for special occasions.
