i absolutely love this brush! it serves as so many different functions- from applying liquid foundation (giving it an airbrushed look), to applying blushes. the price is kind of expensive but it is worth it! i have two of these brushes!
The Mac 187 is a great brush, for your foundations, powders, and blushes. You use very little product when using this brush.. it is very light weight and feathery, giving your makeup you apply on your face a airbrushed look.. Love this brush.. Plus I think its cute !!
Pros:multi purpose brush, great quality, airbrushed look, use less product Cons:pricey, but worth it..
This a a very unique brush , I believe I may need to purchase at least one more . I started using it for my blush , it gives a very natural blush look. then I found out you can use it for foundation I tried that so I have used it more for foundation , it does give your face an overall airbrushed look. This is quite a discover . I am so glad I purchased this!
This is the most expensive brush I own. I still can't believe I spent € 45 (= $ 65) for it. I use MAC 187 w/ bronzers, blushes and mineral foundations on a daily basis. No need to say that it works great, my skin is left heavenly smooth. The pity is that these brushes could be very helpful for beginners but, due to high price, they have sold mostly to make-up experts. Anyhow, MAC brush # 187 is worth every single penny IMHO!
I have and like this brush but it sheds which is unacceptable to me in a high end brush. Every day I have to pick off pesky little hairs. I use this larger one for my finishing powder.
This brush is my favorite of all my makeup brushes! It has made such a difference in the overall application of makeup for me. It make my imperfect skin look nearly perfect. It is pricey but so worth it. The delicate application it gives to my Studio Fix Foundation is wonderful! This is a must-have for anyone, don't settle for less!
Pros:Great brush quality, applies color flawlessly and naturally! Cons:A bit pricey but totally worth it.
You'll probably think I'm nuts for saying this, but I think this brush is so cute.
I got this when the big MSF collection came out last year (Metal Rock??) and have used it constantly since then. I alternate between NARS Bronzer Brush, MAC Loose Powder Brush, and this to apply all my powder make-up depending on the covereage and finish I'm going for.
Because of the white tips, this brush will look dirty very quickly. I spray it with MAC Brush Cleanser (undilluted) after each use to keep it in good condition.
i bought this awhile ago when the raves started up on the forum, mainly for foundation. at the time, i didn't have any of mac's mineralize skinfinishes (msf), which i heard work the best with the 187, so i thought it'd be a waste to keep this brush and so i returned it. when the new foundation came out, i went to the counter and my favorite MA put it on me with this brush and when i say my face looked flawless, i mean it. when i got home, i put the foundation on with my trish mcevoy foundation brush, but it didn't look the same. i figured i'd go back and get the 187 and she told me to buff the foundation on with this brush. it doesn't look as perfect as she did it, but it definitely looks a lot better and i owe it all to this brush. i use this for foundaton, concealer, powder, AND blush and i swear, even if it was $100, i'd buy it no matter what. i uses up less products and just makes my makeup look airbrushed. i also love the fact it doesn't shed and it's very easy to clean. i plan on buying another one just for convenience.
Pros:applies makeup like a dream, soft, durable Cons:price
I've heard all the raves about this brush so finally decided to purchase it. This is a great brush especially for the skinfinishes. It really blends the makeup into the skin and helps create that glowy dewy look that is so popular. It is great for blending liquid, cream or powder foundation. I love how you can use the brush wet without ruining it. Just use circular motions to blend and get the desired effect. Makeup can go on as light or heavy as you like it.
i have only used this to apply the mineralized skinfinishes and
some other blushed and couldnt be more happy with this brush. It was a
lemming and a half when i saw it and it has lived up all the hype. i
cant wait to try it as a foundation brush now!
Pros:fabulous application with this brush Cons:cost lots o $$$$
this brush has been great! No more heavy handed blush applications, which I am prone to. I put on 3 layers and still don't have on as much blush as I usually do with one layer using MAC #129. It's pricey at $40, but completely worth it IMO.
