The "N" Collection that recently was released by MAC should be the newest addtion to the makeup box of all of us that love neutrals or those of us makeup artists that are busy with bridal makeup. Simple colors simple application, excellent results.
The collection also includes Mineralized Powders and a variety of Paint Pots complimenting the collection. Mineralized Powders satify the need for face powder and highlighter/bronzers!~
Unlike other neutrals that cater to the Pink side of Neutrals this colelction is a gentle balance of both pink and gold hues. So red heads...this is for you!
Pros:Easy of use, easy to combine paint pots and shadow. Cons:Due in part to MAC being a professional product, some might find that the suggested brushes used with this product are costly.
A little pigment goes a long way! You can use this basically anywhere on your face, but I use it on my eyes as the lighter complimentary color. It is a light sheer tannish pink (i'd go to MAC website to see actual color), but I love it!
Pros:A little goes a long way! Cons:Have to apply it with finger to get a good blending effect.
I had no idea what to get as a base coat for my eyeshadow. The MAC specialist said this color was great and she was right. I'm an african-american woman and this looks great on my darker skin. It's a tan-bronzish color and it can be worn alone or shadows can be added.
I was amazed with the staying power and how well it goes on. A little goes a long way and eventhough it's expensive, I won't have to buy any for a long time.
Pros:Wonderful color and staying power Cons:Pricey
MAC Paint in "Stilife" is, IMO the BEST paint!!! It's SO versatile. I use this as an all-over wash, a browbone highlight, and even for a lid color when I want a simple look. The texture is buttery soft. It is a very neutral color w/ soft peachy/pink undertones and some shimmer. This is also great when used as a base for other eyeshadows, and especially loose e/s's and Pigments. The only thing that you must be careful of is squeezing too hard (esp. w/ a new tube)..because a lot of product will come out if you don't use a very gentle touch. That would be my only con; packaging...but then I have to think..."How else would they package a product like this??" Overall, this is a great product, and I use it EVERY TIME I put M/U on!!!! It may be used w/ fingers, or a brush (IMO, the best brush for this product is a synthetic brush..MAC's 242 is an excellent one to use w/ Paints). I haven't run out in over a year....but when I do, I'll be buying this again as fast as I can get to MAC!
Pros:Simply a great, versatile product. Very pretty color, great texture/consistency! Cons:Must be light-handed w/ tube, or you'll get a lot of wasted product.
Review: I'm not sure what I was expecting when I bought it, but I ended up giving this to my sister. The color just did nothing for me, and it wasn't the soft cool green that I prefer. This green had a little gold shimmer mixed in and that really warmed up the color.
It looks lovely on my sister's hazel eyes, but it just wasn't for me.

Review: This is my HG eyeshadow base. Its phenomenal. I think its the tan gal's version of Bare Canvas. It blends into my skin tone and creates the perfect base for eyeshadows to adhere to. I think it improves the texture of eyeshadows, makes them last longer, and brings out the color of the shadow.
This is a product that I will repurchase over and over again. A little trick with paints is to squeeze a small amount into a sample jar so that you don't have to keep messing with the tube. Its ideal if you use a certain color as a base because you have to apply it everyday.

Pros:Kick butt eyeshadow base!! Cons:Hate the packaging
This is a gorgeous plum/purple color, but it is unfortunately too dark for me to use as a base. I am pretty clumsy in using it as an e/s in crease,so I don't use it much at all.
Price is pretty high, esp since I don't like it very much, but otherwise tube lasts forever and it is worth it!
This was my first paint and it is amazing, It is very neutral on my very light skin and works best with cream e/s on top. I have pretty dry lids,so using only paint wasn't working for me,it was to dry and e/s didn't stick to it at all!
this is the best base eye color ever! you can put it under any eye shadow and it will bring out the e/s better. this is great of you have oily and dark lids it will cover the darkness and dry out the oilness. its awesome if you just wanna wear it alone to.
Ok, so I was really apprehensive about trying MAC Paints. They just looked so professional, that I was intimidated by them. I asked around here on MUT and MAC Paints came highly recommended as an eyeshadow base. I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did!
I use a thin layer of MAC Paints in Bamboom to base out my lid and then I apply my shadows over it as I usually would. This product makes my eyeshadows stay true and really makes the color pop! Something I didn't get with Loreal De-Crease. De-Crease kept the color from creasing and helped it to last, but it didn't punch up the color the way Paints does.
I really can't rave enough about this product. Before, my e/s colors appeared vauge on my eyelids. With Paints my eyeshadow is simply fabulous! Vibrant, true color. Hooray for MAC Paints!!!
Pros:A tiny bit goes a long way. A tube should last months! Cons:None
Nice light pink paint. Goes on smooth and creamy. Great as a base for other pink powder shadows. It does take some know how for the application of the paint, and is best applied with a finger to blend well.
This is stuff lasts forever! MAC paints come in a squeeze tube, and are creamy eyeshadows. The tubes cost about $15, but you only need a tiny bit each time, so it should last a long time. Stilife is a shimmery pink champagne color. Looks pretty natural on, and is a great eyeshadow base. Also nice as a brow highlighter. But it is shimmery, so don't use very much! This stuff dries pretty quickly, so it's hard to blend if you get too much. Removes easily with makeup remover though. This stuff seems a little irritating, so be careful if you have sensitive eyes! I have had the best luck applying this with my fingers, soft eyeshadow brushes don't work at all. I've always been wary of cream eyeshadow since it seems so hard to apply, but this stuff is pretty easy to use and is super long lasting. Great stuff!
