I've been wearing this foundation for a while. I now only wear it when I have a photoshoot because it's too heavy for everyday. It is very heavy on my face and I feel it doesn't look natural. I always seem to break out after a while (after using it). It does serve it's purpose and looks great on film but not for everyday.

Pros: great on film, perfect looking skin
Cons: pimples, too heavy

I had needed a new foundation for a while. I had a Tinted Moisturizer, but I needed something with a little more coverage in my kit. MAC's Studio Stick had been on my wish-list for a while, so when I was at MAC last week, I picked one up.

The M/A matched me to an NW20; which was *perfect*. I really like MAC's matching system..NC is for people with yellow undertones to their skin, and NW is for pink undertoned people. Then they have a number system, which correspondes to skintone. I think this is a great system. SO many brands I've tried don't accomodate people with pink tones. Even when I find a matching shade, there is always too much yellow in it, and it ends up making me look like a corpse! I'm so glad MAC realizes not all people have the same undertones!

For those of you who aren't familiar with Studio Stick, it is a cream-like foundation in a stick form. It somes in a tube with an 'adjuster' to raise it up and down (much like a lipstick). This stuff is so creamy and blendable. Many cream foundations end up being really dry and/or sticky..Not Studio Stick.

I love the fact that you can use this a couple different ways..#1 You can take some off the stick and put it in a petri dish (or anything that will hold the product; this is what the M/A did when she put it on my in the store), and then use a foundation brush to apply it (the only thing is you need to kind of judge how much product you will need so you don't waste it). #2 You can 'dab' into the product directly with a foundation brush and then apply it. #3 You can just apply directly to the face, and then blend either with a brush OR your fingers. That's what makes it extra special; because it's so versatile and portable. I carry this with me in my makeup bag. I can apply it in two minutes with my fingers, or, if I have some time, I can spend a while brushing it out with my #190 foundation and/or my #187 stippling brush..It looks so natural and airbrushed that way.

I could go on and on about this stuff (I'm afraid I have already)..It's great in 1,000,000 ways. If you're in need of a foundation, I would definetly reccomend you try this stuff!

Oh..and did I mention it has SPF in it?? Just another plus for an already great product!

Pros: Lots of shades for every skintone and undertone, creamy, blendable, natural looking, and highly portable! Also has SPF 15.
Cons: NONE that I've found!

I loved the coverage of this, half the time I didn't even need concealer, but it's so bad for your skin! My skin has been much better since I switched to Clinique, but I still miss the coverage. I would almost consider buying it again, for certain occasions, but like a lot of people I have a hard time finding a match at MAC. I liked the design of the compact, but not that it was so hard to use the last bit of product.

Pros: Great coverage
Cons: Bad for skin, bad color selection

This foundation offers excellent, long lasting, full coverage hiding every flaw on your skin and evening out your skin tone. However, because of its heaviness, it can cause breakouts and even deep cyst-like pimples if used often. Great for use only on special occasions when you really want to get glammed out and need your makeup to last all day and night, or for covering minor blemishes. I recommend not using it on a daily basis for full coverage.

I have had a huge love/hate relationship with any and all foundations since the beginning of time. I started using this about 6 weeks ago and I absolutely love it. It feels like silk on my face and even though I have an extremely oily t-zone, it stays matte for hours with a little help from MAC Matte and MAC loose Blot powder. It stays true all day and no touch ups are needed. I apply it lightly for daytime and build a little more for evenings. It's a medium coverage and looks like me....only better

Pros: I like the compact with seperate compartment for the sponge
Cons: none so far

This is a great foundation when you want heavier coverage.  I wear this foundation if I am going out or have a special event to attend. Has great staying power.  Eventhough it is a cream it does not make your face look shiny.  Goes on smoothly and evenly and gives great coverage over marks and dark circles.

This is a great lightweight product.  It goes on very sheer, and doesn't weigh your skin down.

I use NC30, 35, 40.

This is a good medium to heavy coverage foundation depending on how you apply it. You can use a little bit and blend to get a medium coverage. It can look cakey if you use too much and don't blend.
Sometimes I do a light dusting of Studio Fix to give more of a matte finish.
If you have dry skin, it does show up and looks weird when in goes into the little lines. So make sure you exfoliate and moisturize.

Here is what they say about the product:
Totally tech. A tri-system blend of water, emollients and powder. Looks solid, glides on as a soft, creamy emulsion. Provides a natural matte, powder-perfect finish. Smooth to blend, easy to work with: provides a full range of coverage. Water-cooled - refreshes and hydrates skin. Light diffusing: softens lines, creates a fresh, flawless finish. Good on all skin types. Studio Tech is dermatologist tested, ophthalmologist tested, non-acnegenic and safe for contact lens wearers.
0.35 oz 10 g

Pros: Good coverage. Many shade choices.
Cons: Can look cakey if there is too much.

This is a great compact foundation. I like that it offers good coverage and evens out my skin, but doesn't feel too heavy. MAC also had a good selection of colors, so I think most people could find a match. Since MAC makes cool and warm toned foundations, I was actually matched with two different colors. Reasonable price for a department store brand, and the compact can be used for Back2MAC. I like compact foundations since they are easy to travel with. This one has a mirror and a sponge. The sponge works ok to apply the product, but I find that using a brush distributes the product evenly and doesn't waste as much. Definitely check this one out :)

This is a good foundation for someone who is looking for a lot of coverage. I love the convenience of the stick, but on the few humid spring-like days we had here, my face felt cakey and weighed down! It dries to a natural matte finish, which I liked, but I also had problems with it rubbing off around mid-day when my skin is at it's oiliest. I'll stick to my Hyper Real!
