it's a pale matte turquoise shade i find ideal to use as a base, especially for blue looks. i like applying it with a brush, but a finger can work too.  my only regret is it's LE.

Pros: great base !
Cons: LE

I bought Groundwork paintpot at a CCO. This is my first and so far only paint pot, and I love it! I am most often a neutral/brown eyeshadow person, this shade makes the perfect base for other eyeshadows I wear. On very hurried days I can just do a quick swipe of this paintpot and forego any eyeshadow and it gives a perfect natural pick up up to my eyes and lasts all day.I do want to try other shades of paintpots, but I already know that I will be buying more of this shade.

Pros: great neutral color, smooth application, lasts all day NO creasing
Cons: i wish it could be a flip-top somehow, but otherwise its perfect

Base paint is not something for super oily eyes. I have to use UD pp before I put on the paint or else it will crease within two hours.

Also it is not recommened for highly sensitive eyes. I tested this product on a friend and this was the only MAC product which bothered her eyes. It made her lids feel heavy.

So make sure you test it out before you purchase it.

I still use my paint. I love the color (bare canvas) but I HAVE to use UD pp before applying.

The Metal-X Cream Shadows were a LE collection that came out in 2007.  For some people, the shadows creased.  I didn't have any problems with creasing.  The colors are gorgeous metallic colors.

6th Sin is a great dark metallic green color.

I went to Nordstrom last week to check out the new anniversary sale collections...Everything is SO nice!!  One of the new items out are the highly anticipated Paint Pots.

As a faithful lover of the original Paints, I was really looking forward to this new style.  I have not been let down.  There are so many wonderful colors...I think there are probably about ten or more shades, and then there are tree or four exclusive colors made expressely for the Nordstrom sale.  They are all beautiful.

There are three different types of 'finishes'; Cream, Pearl, and the ubiquitous Frost.

While I loved all of them, I had already done quite a bit of makeup shopping, so I had to limit myself to one.  I chose Indianwood.  This is a gorgeous metallic bronze. I'm telling you, it could not be prettier!!!!  I am a fan of bronze, gold, brown and copper eyeshadows, so this was an easy choice for me.

I have worn this a few times since I bought it, and it doesn't dissapoint. I wore it as a base for a bronze color eyeshadow. There was a subtle change in the color of the eyeshadow, but I'm not complaining, because it was beautiful. Not only did it make the eyeshadow more vibrant, but it lasted ALL DAY....through sweat and even swimming!!!!!  Yesterday, I put this on intending to put another color over it. I decided it was SO nice, I simply wore it by itself with a little black liner. It brought out the blue in my eyes. SO PRETTY was this color, I couldn't stop looking at my eyes in the mirror!!!

Another benefit is the new packaging...The original paints were nice, but sometimes the Paint would "leak" out of the tube, leaving a lot of wasted product. It also had a tendency to dry out near the cap...And, speaking of which, the black cap was so small, I frequently found myself searching among my makeup for it when I was done with the Paint. Well, I can say MAC really took care of all these problems; none of them will happen with these new Paints. Just be sure to keep the cap screwed on tightly all the time.  Some people have been worried about these drying out quickly...I think as long as the cap is kept on tightly after each use, it won't be an issue. And if it is, MAC is very flexible with their return policy.

The consistancy is so creamy and blendable...I think I've found a new love!!!  I fully intend on getting a few more of these babies!!  They have a few neutral colors, and some more vibrant colors...I think I'll get a few of each!!!  Priced at $16.50,  one can afford to get a few of them.

This is seriously a makeup staple every woman should have; and certainly every MAC lover!!!!

Pros: Wonderful color, creamy consistancy, can be used alone or under other shadows
Cons: So far I can't see any!

I absolutely love this product. I use it all over my face instead of just one place. It looks red in the pot but shows up golden on my caramel brown skin. I love it. I put this on my cheeks for that movie star glow

Pros: So pretty multipurpose
Cons: I used it quickly

Really good as a base.  It's a light, neutral color with a hint of shimmer.  When you first buy it, unfold the top of the tube.  This really helps to keep the paint from oozing out.

I use this product on top of my Urban Decay Primer Potion.  I use it as a base since its a cream based product and my eye shadows adhere to my eye longer with it.  Hush is a great nude/pinkish color.  it can also be used as a cheek high lighter.

Color: Beige

Finish: Matte

Review: My sister loves Paints the way I love pigments. Since they work so well together, we have a win win situations. Especially since both products take an eternity to finish. This is her HG-Won't use anything else, eyeshadow base. I think it may be her most prized make-up possesion. It's a creamy beige that sets to a dry matte finish and does not crease or fade. My only complaint is that its too light for me, but that doesn't take away from the overall aweseomeness of this product.

Me: NC43, GGG, Green Eyes, Jet Black Straight Hair, Combination/Sensitive Skin

Pros: One of the best eyeshadow bases on the market
Cons: Wrong color for my skin tone

Bare Canvas helps e/s stay on for a LONG time!  They also make the e/s show up better. It's a cream product, so the e/s will stick to the cream. You're e/s will show up more vibrantly and true to color. Since it's a matte shade, you can wear it with matte e/s or shimmery ones. It's also a light nuetral shade, so you can wear it under anything.

I have CCB in Hush and I use it on top of paints as a base. It works perfectly! I wouldn't reccomend using it on its own, since it creases really easily. It is also nice to use on browbone and as highlighter on cheeks.

I bought this at the Cosmetic Outlet, loved the color, Fawntastic - thought it would be a great color base for my eyeshadow, however it turned out to be very greasy for my eyelids.  It didn't dry and create a good base, it stayed "greasy" all day or creamy might I say.  Maybe someone else likes the creamy-ness of the product, but I was hoping it would dry and not remain as a wet product all day.

Pros: great color, easy to apply
Cons: does not dry, stays creamy all day which feels very greasy, will not buy again
