I tested this while when I was first introduced to mmu and at first I loved it. I did notice that my face started to get little bumps on my cheeks and they wouldn't go away. I finally realized that this formula was the culprit :(. It always itched even if i barely sweated! It also didn't give me as much coverage as the intensive formula did. I have oily skin and thought this would be a good match for me but it was literally like applying regular powder and expecting that to cover up anything. I have since then stuck to the intensive formula which has caused me no problems.
Pros:Very generous container, should last six months if not a whole year Cons:very itching, hardly any coverage, broke me and i still have blemishes to this day
Everyday Minerals was unbelievably cheap, but the products made me break out terribly.
I used the products for a four weeks (o-glo foundation, mint concealer, and silk dust), and ended up with a rash that took 2 months to heal. I had to enlist the help of a dermatologist and strong prescriptions to get rid of the rash. After it healed, I tried using just the o-glo formula, but the rash returned.
I know that most people have great results with EDM, but there are a group of people who do break out when using their products. Based on my interactions with people on the EDM forum over the last 3 months, o-glo seems to be the best formula for sensitive skin types - it just didn't work for me.
Pros:cheap
lots of foundation colors to find perfect match Cons:not good for ultra-sensitive skin types
poor management
I have Everyday Minerals in matte Tan and so far, I like it. It goes on well and the coverage cannot be beat. Lasts all day, yet easily removed without much trace at the end of the day. My only con is that this is the darkest shade they have for my complexion so I don't know what I'll use come summer when I start to tan.
I love EDM! It gives me nice, flawless, and perfect coverage, without being too matte and looking dry, or too shiny at all. It goes on so silky, doesn't cause irritation, and feels good on my skin. This wears well, and looks amazing. This is one of my favorite MMU's, in fact, it was my first, and I still love it. I will definitely continue to repurchase.
I just tried Everyday Minerals foundation yesterday and then today. All I have to say is WOW! This is the best mineral make-up I have ever used. The coverage is fantastic, it stays put all day, keeps the oil from coming through pretty good, great color selection, fast shipping, the price is great, it's all natural, and you get free samples! I have acne and extremely oily skin and this make-up works great for my skin. I still have breakthrough shine, as I always will, but not as bad with this make-up. I'll never use another foundation, the quality of Everyday Minerals is amazing. I used both the Intensive and the Matte foundations and both had great results. The only difference that I noticed was that the Matte kept the shine away a little longer. Oh, and one other thing....I had been using the crazy expensive Jane Iredale mineral make-up and Everyday Minerals is even better and a fraction of the cost! I have fair yellowish toned skin and I used the Neutral Medium Beige and it matched perfect.
Pros:Excellent coverage, stays on, keeps the oil away, affordable, high quality, great colors, etc. Cons:None!
I'm torn. I think my skin looks awesome when I wear this foundation. The finish isn't as glowy as Natural Glo, but not dry or powdery either. It looks exceedingly natural and photographs well. Unfortunately, I have the sneaking suspicion that it's been behind several breakouts I've experienced in the past year or so. So I'm giving my skin a break and then testing it again cautiously.
I love the Semi-Matte formula from Everyday Minerals. The color (Golden Medium Warm) is absolutely perfect for my skin (even when I did a color test by applying the foundation to only half of my face). It gives a nice semi-matte (duh) finish without the overpowdered, too much makeup, fake look. Very natural and light.
The power to control oil is a little on the down side. I have a very, very oily T-zone and after about 6-8 hours, I'm all greasy and shiny, but that's only if I wear the foundation alone. I haven't tried using a finishing powder with it yet (but I will as soon as my new order of EM comes in! =D).
Pros:cheap; natural & silky, semi-matte finish; super fast shipping if you are ordering with a credit card Cons:you can order it via online and mail (takes about a week if your paying with a check) only; the minis contain only 2.5 grams of product!
Best foundation ever! The matte finish was wonderful but this is even better- covers great, lasts all day and beyond, looks beautifully natural. I LOVE EM!
Definitely my HG foundation and I've been using it for about a year. I found my perfect match in golden fair. The coverage is wonderful on my acne prone skin, and it also control my oily skin well. I feel comfortable and beautiful wearing this foundation!
I'm a little undecided with this one, but I will not say I am impressed. I don't feel that the semi-matte sheen was quite what I was looking for, and it felt chalky. I wouldn't reccommend this particular line to women of color. I did not feel like there was a color range and true enough undertones for it to be my HG, or favorable at all.
Didn't hate it, but I didn't like it.
Pros:Nice packaging for free samples. Cons:Not targeted to my skin depth. Not enough color choices for the subtleties of undertones.
I have oily skin and the Intensive formula did not work for me. It went on beautifully, and for the first 10 minutes I looked fantastic. After that, however, the foundation started changing color on my face, turning more orangey. It also sort of globbed into certain areas, kind of like it was melting into my pores. I used it with a primer and without, and just was not happy with the results. I have not tried the other formulas so I am not saying all EDM foundations are bad for oily skin. I just know the Intensive did not work for me.
Pros:Inexpensive, nice color choices. Cons:Not good for oily skin, changes color.
I like this mineral foundation, it looks great and isn't powdery. It doesnt give as much coverage as my other favorite, intensive, but it is right up there in comparison.
Pros:not powdery, cheap Cons:not as good coverage as intensive
I really like this. It gives good coverage and does not look powdery! I use Cool Fair and it's a perfect match for my pale skin!
Pros:cheap compared to a lot of other companies, good coverage Cons:i guess the only con is you have to buy it online instead of in a store, but that is with most mineral makeup companies
