I might expect too much on this product.

When i get it..i was disappointed..

It was not that light..and natural.

It's still heavy..to me.

I have pretty fair skin so I do not need heavy coverage..

But..it is definitely easy to use.

I love this product soooo much!!! I try not to use anything on my face besides this products, it's a little pricey, but not out of my budget ( well, most of the time )

 The started kit is pretty awesome, it comes with 3 brushes, that are pretty decent. 

I tried this product and didn't like it. A new store opened locally and I decided to try out a free demo to burn some time. I'm a darker skinned woman and the line didn't have much to compliment my skin tone. The shades used made me look ashy (should had some Vaseline). I have small wrinkles around my eyes and the makeup magnified them times 10. I washed my face prior to leaving the store and giggled at the fact that someone there really expected me to leave that way.

I liked the coverage and the shade #2 worked well for me.         

The number 1 benefit for me - I no longer pick at my face and consequently, the blemishes have subsided!

 

Seriously! Wearing BM made the blemishes that were on my face less noticable to ME. I left the makeup on almost all of the time and I have found that because I can't see the pimples as much, I don't screw with my face as much...

 

This has been a huge added bonus for me because I was majorly addicted to messing around with my face prior to this - nothing has ever made pimples so easy to deal with for me before.

 

For me, this is the cat's meow. I purchased BM when myface was going through one of the worst stages ever. I have not left my house without wearing it since I made the purchase 6 months ago.

 

I would suggest if you have the opportunity to hit a Bare Escentuals store, GO! They can make sure you are wearing the right color and they can show you how to correctly apply the make up. If you are finding you have a shiny face after you put the make up on, or if you have itching, redness, or breakouts after using, it could be due to your application.

 

I have heard that some people are sensitive or allergic to some of the BM ingredients, I am sure some other mineral makeups would provide the same or similar coverage without the side effects if that is your experience.

 

I found out upon visiting the BE store that I was using the wrong shade of foundation for my skin (medium, when I am actually a "fairly light"). Making that switch made a HUGE difference.

 

Bare Minerals doesn't make you look flawless ... (If I ever find THAT product, I might not tell ANYONE about it lol). But I do love that it makes you look like you have beautiful skin that still looks human. The other day, right in the middle of mid-cycle breakout, my boyfriend and I were discussing blemishes and I mentioned that I had a ton of them. He looked right at me and said, "It looks like you have one pimple right now". He was dead serious and I was secretly thrilled because my face really was a mess underneath the makeup.

 

 

Who ever said these were ok for over 40 skin is nuts. This stuff is messy, it shows wrinkles like they are under amicrscope and they make the skin look dry!
