This was one of the nice little sample baggies they included with my order (gotta love their customer service!). Described as a "smoky brown/black" on the Alima website. This looks gleamy and metallic when applied wet, which was exciting (lol), but it does dry down to a very matte finish. This is not exactly espresso brown either (which I imagine as the darkest of browns, but perfectly neutral without any red at all) or a blackened brown like the description might lead you to believe. Instead, "Espresso" not only dries matte, but turns into a light-medium ash gray on me that's quite flat and deadening on me (too pale, too flat, too blah). I definitely would not repurchase this.
