Review on: Rosebud Perfume Co. - Rosebud Salve
I just don't get it.� I know I'm about to offend those of you who are wild about this stuff, but what is the deal?� I'm clearly the odd-man-out when it comes to Rosebud Salve.

I tried this after reading numerous glowing reviews, not�just here at MUT, but at other sites as well.� If Rosebud Salve was mentioned, you can bet there were ample reviews praising the heck out of this lip...umm...stuff.

I have to be honest, I didn't like this salve one bit.��Maybe my expectations were too high, I don't know.� What I do know is:

1.��� The smell alone made me want to hurl!
2.��� The product itself seemed like plain old�petroleum jelly with a little
������� stink�& tint thrown in the mix.
3.��� The�cute little tin so many adore,�irritated the sh_ _ out of me.

�Application wasn't the issue,�(although I�prefer tube packaging-� dipping fingers directly into product isn't�all that sanitary).� My problem was I couldn't get the thing open without wedging the tip of my fingernail beneath the lid to pry it off!

I know this review sounds harsh�for a product with such a huge following & I mean no disrespect to all the Rosebud Salve fans.� But if my experience sounds like minor annoyances you might relate to, I would�recommend any of the Blistex products over this (especially those w/SPF; I'm a big advocate of sun protection in face/lip products).

If your simply in the market for an economical, yet trustworthy moisturizer to slather on before bed, (& you don't mind feeling a bit greasy), you may want to consider�buying yourself a big ol' tub of fragrance-free Vaseline.� I use it everywhere:� lips, cuticles, elbows, knees, ankles.� (And it makes a decent lubricant in a pinch, if ya know what I mean!)� Hey, there's a reason its been around so long.��Products that get the job done never go out of style!
