This product really wasn't what I was expecting. It was just too creamy if that makes any sense. And the soap itself woul break down if the surface it was sitting on had any water on it. I was so amazed at how quickly it melted.
I simply don't think I'm used to soaps that are that creamy and moistuizing. I look to soaps for something refreshing and deep cleaning. This was more... soothing.
I think the best comparison I can use if comparing it as cold creme versus regular face wash. They both get the job done, but in differnt ways.

I'm so madly in love with Dove's Beauty Bar. Definately one of the best basic beauty products out there. Smells fresh, lots of bubbles, doesn't leave a residue on your skin...completely simple and does the job well. This is a "must-have" in any bathroom!
I have never been much of a fan of bar soaps, I do prefer liquid body washes. As far as bar soaps go, though, this is the best I have found. It is very gentle, not drying at all like many bar soaps. It's great for kids as it is non-irritating and has a nice fresh unisex scent.

Dove beauty bar(original) has been a staple in my family for generations. The smell triggers many memories. It is a beauty classic. Dove is very gentle on your skin and is great for all ages. I have strayed a few times, only to come back to this gem. It is non-irritating, smells wonderful and has a great price. This is definitely a drugstore HG product for me.
