im not a fan of AG's bottles, but somehow, i cant think of what else they would look like if i were to design the bottle. (you know what i mean?)
lemon pledge? i dont think so. i first discovered this scent when i was in junior high and ive loved it ever since. its very classic and simple, yet complex enough to be unique. there are a few fragrances that are similar, but none are quite as nice.
this is the only perfume that has me looking forward to its drydown above all else, its starts off as a citrus blend of lemon and grapefruit with musky and woody middle and base notes. its perfect for men as well as women.
most unisex scents tend to be a bit more masculine then feminine. eau de sud is out and out masculine. i sometimes wear distinctively masculine scents, but this one just doesnt work for me.
my nose and expertise are not highly developed, so the best i can say is that it smells like popsicle sticks! the woody accord is not pleasant to me. it then fades to a musky, grandpa-ish smell. not cute, cuddly, good memories with grandpa, but generic geriatric grandpa. i dont smell lemon, mandarin, grapefruit, bergamot or mint.
Another beautiful Annick Goutal fragrance. Folavril is a fresh, fruity floral. Its an interesting blend of mango and jasmine that dries down to a fresh soapy smell. Just beautiful!
Where do I start. First off I am a great lover of Gardenias. I first sniffed this at Nordstroms about a year ago, sprayed a bit on, walked around and I was completely overtaken with it. I went back to the counter and asked the sales assistant for a sample, at $100 a bottle this is def. a smart thing to do because you just never know. I wore it over the next few days and I have never got more compliments on a perfume than this one. Its not for the faint of heart, but it is too me a true creamy gardenia. The bottles are so elegant too. If you get a chance to get a wiff of it you will truely fall in love with this. P.S. My sister wore this for her wedding and I kept noticing her husband smelling her neck!
