I wanted to love this, or even like it. But unfortunately I don't like it at all. Lush calls their smoothie a "beautiful shower soap". It is a thick, creamy substance that comes in a small pot and is meant to massage all over the body to cleanse and soften.
First of all, the name is very misleading. It doesn't smell anything like coconut or almond; it is named for the coconut and almond OILS in it but bears no resemblance scent-wise. It is advertised as smelling of ylang ylang and vanilla, but I totally disagree! It smells weird and almost unpleasant, I can't describe it but I just know I don't like it. As far as performance goes, it cleanses just fine. It's not a shower gel, not a solid soap but somewhere in between. I guess I just don't get the point of this product. It leaves my skin soft and supple but it isn't super moisturizing. I expected it to be very moisturizing and smell amazing. But no. Why would anyone want to use a mediocre product that smells weird? I won't be buying this again. I plan on using it up as quickly as possible by shaving with it as well as washing with it till it's gone for good.
Pros:None really. Cons:Smells weird (in a bad way), nothing special and not worth the price.
this is the only lush product that i absolutely hate. the smell is very off putting. its sort of acrid, and sour, and i smell no almond, or coconut. the texture is a bit funny, too.
it performs well, and lathers decently if used with a bath pouf.
this might fall into the category of TMI, but i use products like this one to scent my body all over, and because theyre luxurious, and i use a bar soap to cleanse areas like under my arms, etc. if i cant even enjoy the scent of the product, it becomes useless to me :(
