Review on: Powders - Loose Powders Clinique Gentle Light Powder
I bought this in Glow 2. I was looking for a powder that would give a dewy/glowy finish. This one had too much glow. The brush it came with was terrible. They shouldn't have bothered including it.
Review on: Powders - Loose Powders Mad Minerals mineral foundation powder
I have been wearing Mad Minerals for about 8 months. I no longer sample lines from other companies because I am completely happy with the performance and wearability of this product. Mad Minerals foundation is easy to apply with a flat top brush, and gives me great coverage. Barbi the owner gives fabulous customer service and speedy shipping times always.
Pros: good coverage, easy blending- doesn't get ruined by "overblending", don't need primer or finishing powder (that's me though), refill baggies available to save you money, awesome customer service!!!
Cons: none
Review on: Powders - Loose Powders Bare Escentuals Mineral Powder Foundation
I have bought this product more than once. I really liked wearing it during the summer when I was tan and never broke out. Now that its winter time and my skin isnt so great, i have to use a lot of consealers which makes bareminerals look cakey. i would recommend this product to anyone who doesnt have bad breakouts. but if you do break out, i would stick to a foundation with more coverage!
Review on: Powders - Loose Powders L'Oreal True Match Minerals N6 honey glow
I'm not an expert on mineral make-up,but this product delivers. Its covering, but not so matte and dry as many powders. You chose how much you want to cover, but I needed a lot of powder to get the cover of a foundation. Its very long lasting,it lasts all day,I think it works best with normal to oily skin, but I wuld like some more colors to choose from, especially the neutral ones,as they onlu had this one,and its a little dark for my complexion. The package is not that great,if you carry the powder in your bag,a lot of powder spills out in the upper cap,and you have to apply everything next time you wanna use it.Plus for the brush that follows
Review on: Powders - Loose Powders Physician's Formula Mineral Loose Powder Talc-Free in Translucent Ligh
I bought this in Shoppers Drugs for about 12 dollars ("on special", and CAD are rising like crazy in value), so for price, it's okay, considering the powder seems to last forever.
Pros: "Seemingly" flawless skin , light coverage, lasts more then a day, doesn't clog pores
Cons: Looks awful in bright daylight (only if you peer into the mirror), drying (i put jojoba oil + a light lotion on my face, then wait for half an hour or so before applying, i hav dry skin)
This is great for everyday use, though it's quite annoying to "tap" the powder out every day, but at least it's not "worse". Oh, and the brush is kinda hard when you first apply onto your face, but then you'll get use to it~
Review on: Powders - Loose Powders Physician's Formula Mineral Loose Powder Talc-Free in Translucent Ligh
Overall I think it is awesome,it sets concealor perfectly and has staying power.I put it on over concealor in the am and my skin still felt totally wonderful late into the night, I fell asleep in it and I woke up and looked in the mirror and it was STILL THERE! LoL
I wouldn't reccomend it if you're looking for major coverage. It covered just enough for me to be happy but then again I had concealor underneath.
Pros: Stays put,Prevents Oil,Evens out skin tone,Good price for the amount
Cons: Not the best coverage without concealor underneath, brush is a little small
Review on: Powders - Loose Powders Ocean Mist light mineral veil
I love this mineral veil, it controls oil well & really controls the shine too. If I have a shiney area I can pat this in with a concealer or foundation brush & it will take the shine away. I do wish the jar had a bigger lid area to work my kabuki in.
Pros: works great
Cons: might not work for darker complexions
Review on: Powders - Loose Powders NYC Loose Face Powder in Translucent
This is a matte, translucent loose powder that is great for dusting over your foundation to reduce any shine. It helps to set your makeup and is so cheap! Translucent is a good choice for most light to medium skin tones but I'm not quite sure how it will appear on darker skin.
Review on: Powders - Loose Powders Savvy Mineral Makeup
So when I purchased this product from Sally Beauty Supply I thought I had found an affordable mineral makeup. For $16.00 you receive 2 skin tone foundations and a Savvy makeup powder brush. The coverage is great, but I notice throughout the day, this makeup tends to wear off when I get a little sweaty....it also makes my face itch. Maybe I am allergic to Savvy?!
Review on: Powders - Loose Powders MAC sheer select NW20
This powder is gorgeous. It gives a very clean, fresh make up look and goes on very smooth. It doesn't clump or look obvious. This was my first MAC purchase and I'm really impressed with it.
It makes my skin feel soft and it doesn't feel powdery to the touch. Perfect
Pros: gives a fresh, but not overly made up look, doesn't clump or feel powdery once on, large colour range :)
Cons: coverage is not heavy, quite pricy in Australia
This is their translucent veil, which is their finishing powder. It's very matte and contains kaolin clay, so it really sucks up oil and keeps my face looking smooth and oil-free for hours at a time. I usually only have to touch up a couple of times a day, especially when I use it with their foundation. It has the added benefit of not making me look like a ghost, which many of the other veils seem to do (BE is the worst at this). It contains no talc or cornstarch, which I think are the culprits at making me appear ghostly. I love the matte finish and how well it controls oil.
Pros: Matte finish, doesn't make me look ghostly.
Cons: None.
Review on: Powders - Loose Powders L'Oreal Translucide Loose Powder in Medium
I've been using this product for years. Matches my skin perfectly and keeps me shine free without overdrying my skin. Patted on with a circular sponge gives me a porcelain finish, dusted on with a face brush gives me a natural, slightly dewish finish. Oh, and this product lasts. I only need to replace it once every 1.5 to 2 years, with it costing only $10--a steal!
Review on: Powders - Loose Powders Clinique Blended Face Powder
Considering its reputation for being a higher end brand, their loose powders are quite disappointing. L'Oreal and Cover Girl seem to perform better than Clinique. Very drying upon initial application, yet manages to let you turn into a greaseball an hour later. My pretty durable, not so sensitive skin even reacted to its gimicky formula. Ugh.
Review on: Powders - Loose Powders Ocean Mist foundation
Oceanmist mineral foundation was a pleasant surprise. A new company with a great formula that provides very good long lasting natural looking coverage. Also excellent color selections. On top of all of that they provide excellent customer service and very rapid shipping all at very very affordable prices. What is not to like about this new little gem of a company?
Pros: quality, price, fast delivery, excellent customer service.
Cons: none
Review on: Powders - Loose Powders Sally Hansen CornSilk
I love this product, the powder absorbs shine instantly and translucently sets my makeup. I would definitely buy this again... or else I'd just purchase NYC Translucent powder or Jane.
Pros: Translucent, shine absorbing, not cakey, sets makeup
Cons: If you travel with the little box-shaped container, and then open it, the powder tends to get everywhere...
