After a summer of study, it is my decision that you get more for your money with Lancome Flash Bronzer Glow and Wear.  This bronzer is a tinted gel, available in Shimmer or Natural.  I chose the Shimmer.  The tint was a sheer, golden tan that lets you see where you have applied it.  The tan is instant is instant.  The scent does not have the DHA scent that is so distasteful,  it has a floral scent.  Believe it or not, the tanner is virtually transfer free and contains no sticky or tacky feeling.  Dries quickly and stays off of your clothes.  The tanner dries quickly and turns darker as it dries.  There is no hink of orange.  Loved and went thru several bottles this summer.

Pros: Excellent color, great smell, dries to a quick, even tan.
Cons: Little expensive

Checked this edition out from the library.  It was published in 2003.  A book like this would have to be revised and published at least yearly to be up-to-date.  Paula's own personal preferences heavily influence her reviews.  Forums like this are much more helpful for performance reviews. The info about ingredients was interesting, however.  The book would have been considerably smaller if she had just stuck to the facts.   Many of her makeup reviews stated SPF as a factor.   I use sunscreen for sun protection, not makeup.  I asked 2 other over 40 women, and they both always apply a broad spectrum sunscreen under any other lotions, foundations, etc. I did not care for her remarks about Target, teens, or the former careers of cosmetic designers. The yearly salary of Mary Kay or Avon consultants is none of my business.

I've always been into video games.  We always owned a gaming system in our house, so it's no wonder I still play them!  Need for Speed Underground is all about reputation and fast cars!  While it's not a 100% realistic plot, the game is great to play!  There's an actual storyline, and it can also be played online with other games.  The wide variety of cars, and options for the cars, allows NFSU to be played over and over again without creating the same car more than once.  There's also three different levels (easy, medium & hard), so you can continue to challenge your skills!

Pros: Just a great game overall
Cons: None

I love my iPod Nano.  It is well-worth the $200 that it cost.  It works pretty simply.  It lets you put lyrics onto it, pictures, pictures of the album cover, etc.  The headphones it comes with are nice because you and another friend can both listen to it at the same time.  I think the volume range could be bigger, and it doesn't stay charged for a full 14 hours as claimed.

Pros: does its job and lets you listen to your jams pleasantly, comes with headphones that work with 2 people
Cons: doesn't stay charged for a full 14 hours, could have more of a volume range

Bobbie Brown Beauty The Ultimate Beauty Resource
I got this book because I knew of it. Bobbie Brown is the most wellknown in makeup, books and cosmetics. I had never even looked at anything of hers before but I bought the book. The version I have was written in 1997 and had been updated for that year. Most makeup techinques that she writes about are timeless. It is thought of as a manual for makeup.
"To her way of thinking, there is no one "perfect" beauty standard but countless expressions of personalized beauty." Quote from the inside of the cover.
Her writing is timeless and more helpful than I ever thought it could be. For anyone interested in learning a straightforward way of doing your makeup then this is the book for you.. Bobbie Brown has other books out the one that I can think of right now is Bobbie Brown Teen Beauty. I met a young lady who had followed the techniques in it... she was stunning!!
This is a wonderful book and worth buying, the older books can be found on Amazon.com thats where I bought mine.. You paid for this book when it came out $30.00 I got it for way less.. :)

Pros: The information for anyone just starting out makes in worth what you pay for it. Buy the book for your age, there is one just for teens
Cons: You may not agree with how she does things or how and what she believes is the ONLY way to do it..
