As the year begins to wind down, this is the perfect time for me to sit back and reflect on some of the products I have tried over the past year and have fallen in love with. I have to say, I’m a sucker for most glamour, makeup and skin care products and it takes a LOT for me to dislike something. Oh but when I do’t like a product? I’m not a happy camper and someone will hear about it. But when I do LUV something? I will rave about it, recommend it, and tend to stay very loyal to it. Well”¦ till something better comes around.

So let’s list the makeup products that Sassy fell in love with in 2011 that became my FAVES of the year.
drum roll please 2 Sassys FAVE Awards of 2011, Part 1(drum roll”¦..)

Fave Primer:
L’Oreal Paris Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base ““ A light, airy primer that leave your face smooth and flawless and helps keep your makeup looking fresh for extended hours. Great for all skin types too!
Fave Foundation:
L’Oreal Paris Magic Smooth Soufflé Foundation ““ This gives me great coverage with ingredients that do’t irritate my skin. Keeps my skin looking young and flawless-all day and all night.

Fave Finishing Powder:
MUFE HD Microfinish Powder ““ I wish I could say this is a new love, but I’ve been loving Make Up Forever’s Powder for a few years now. The jar I bought 3 years ago is still half full and I have no intention of switching from this product any time soon. I simply love it!

Fave Blush:
Pure Mineral Elegance Blushing Blend in “Flirt” ““ A nice natural mineral blush from a small private company which gives me a cool hued glow without any additives that can give my face the itchies!

Fave Eye Shadow:
Maybelline Eye Studio Color Explosion ““ Does’t matter which palette it is because I own them all! The highly pigmented colors make eyes look stunning for both day and night wear. With a great variety or colors, these shadows are definitely a show stopper!

Fave Eye Liner:
NYC Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil ““ I’ve tried A LOT of liners over the years. I have tried the expensive ones, I have tried the cheap ones. Gels, liquids, pencils. All seem to leave me with raccoon eyes. NYC’s waterproof pencil is not only inexpensive, but has the staying power I want. Lasts and lasts!

Fave Mascara:
Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Waterproof Mascara ““ Probably the most expensive makeup item I own, and I feel it is worth every penny. This mascara goes on easy, makes my lashes long and lush, and stays put, all day! Have’t found anything better since I first tried it 11 months ago!

Fave Lip Color:
Maybelline Super Stay 24 Hour Color ““ I have been raving about this product since the first time I used it and it is still the one I turn to probably 6 out of 7 days a week. If I had the money, I’d own every color. But owning ten of them is enough for now. LONG wear, great balm to avoid any drying of the lips, and no bad taste or scent. My fave makeup product of the year!

Fave Lip Gloss:
Lancôme Juicy Tubes Jelly Ultra Shiny Lip Gloss in “Fifth Aveneue Frosting” ““ I got a sample tube in a gift with purchase from Lancome earlier this year and it quickly became my favorite. (That says a lot because I have a TON of lip glosses.)The taste and scent is exactly like vanilla frosting, and the color is neutral enough for every day wear. Moisturizing and shiny make this gloss that much more awesome!
