If it's a clearance item, I'm sure Myglam bought it for much less. Either way, I actually like it. It's kind of greasy/messy to put on, but the color actually stays even if most of the lipstick rubs off. The color is a little dark but it works for me, which I'm really grateful for lol.

The rest of the bag is ehh, just too tween for me. I made the mistake of opening it when I was in a car, and it made me nauseous--once again, bag reeks and one of the brushes does too. I guess their manufacturers don't care to fix that?

Yes, I like that as the lipstick fades, my lips are stained (in a good way).

I got my may bag today and got the lipstick color foxy pink. On my lips it's like a brown mauve color. The rest of the bag I'm like eh whatever.

Got my bag today. I am breaking up with MyGlam. This time it might be for good. The bag wasn't terrible but it just wasn't for me. My lippy color is Winter Red, which I will never wear because its too dark for me. But I like the brushes. So, maybe Ill put the extra $10 to use by getting a 3rd BB or maybe trying Cravebox. :)

too funny... breaking up.smilehappyyes.gif Yep that about sums it up. I am sure people who received the Fall colors sent in the May bag will enjoy them ...in the Fall.

I also got the lipstick in Smile. This is it on their site:

http://www.studiogearcosmetics.com/product.php?code=35212

It is like a terra cotta brownish color. I think it suits me well and will be good for fall. I almost don't care if it's discontinued, because it's so hard for me to get through a lipstick anyway. I like the formula well enough that I feel like I got to sample Studio Gear lipstick and would repurchase in another color, if the mood struck me.

I agree with others that the nail thing is too young (for me, anyway), but I like the perfume and will make use of the brushes. Even though I did end up liking the brushes, I am also looking forward to seeing non-brush items in next month's bag.

So on the whole, not a bad bag for me this month. Liked it better than I thought I would.

I received my bag today. I'm really happy with the brushes. I don't know how I feel about the lipstick yet (burnished rose). I don't think its my color but I can't be sure until I try it.

Doubled checked the website and looked in the specials section; low & behold "foxy pink" was there. I guess their on clearance/special.

That's a pretty fun color to play with.  Seems like it works on you too from what I can tell. :)

I think you, TallCoolTexan, got red but didn't like it if I recall correctly. Earlier in this thread someone was hoping they got red. It's a toss up for MG. They can't possibly make everyone happy. The trade thread would be GREAT for these lipsticks for anyone that got a color that won't work for them. They are nice.

Oh, I wanted red too!  I haven't gotten my bag yet, but I really really hope I get a vibrant red. I have been dying to try red lipstick but I'm too chicken to go purchase it.  If I can't get red, I would be okay with mauve or ligher pink colors.

The lipstick I received is Cafe Au Lait.  It is a dark brown color.  Who wears dark brown lipstick?  Kinda smells like chocolate, though.  Still, it is nothing I can wear.  I am a pink girl.  On a different note, my bag didn't smell bad at all.  I live in Washington state, and I just received my bag yesterday, so maybe it depends on where the bags are stored or shipped.

This is why they need to start paying attention to our beauty profiles. I know some glammies are getting tired of complaints and say that it's just a $10 service, but why send out stuff to people they can't even really use? I have a very fair complexion. I'm hoping to get a lipstick shade that will suit my skin color, but it's completely random. I mean, the lipsticks sound wonderful, from what I've heard. I would at least love to be able to try one out without looking freakish with the stuff on. lol.

Ooooh! So pretty, Sleepykat. I'll go ahead and post pix of me wearing my lipstick when I get my bag tomorrow. :) How's the perfume sample? Did you find it to your liking? What does it smell like?

Thanks. smile.gif Ignore the part in the middle where the flash makes it so shiny. It's neither glossy nor matte; maybe creamy? Very moisturizing. My brother and my husband had nice comments on it. It works well as the "star" of the look, with minimal eye makeup.

Red lipstick is bold, but it's also classic. If you want to try a good one without a big investment ($4 or $5), I recommend NYX Chic Red. I like the photos that are here: http://www.temptalia.com/nyx-chic-red-round-lipstick-review-photos-swatches
Oh, duh, I'm also wearing it in my MUT avatar/profile pic.

Thank you. Yes, I would love to see photos of the different shades when worn.

As for the Philosophy perfume, when I sniff it I think "bright, clean, bold." It is a scent that I would like on another person, not as much on me.

Revlon lilp butters are a great way to do red without it being so intimidating!! Sort of a way to ease into it.

NYC has a really nice, vibrant retro red for $.99, in case you don't get red and still want to try it! :) I think the color actually is called "Retro Red" too, haha.

I think people of color  and white people with olive undertones like my mom might wear easily browns.

Brown lipstick just transports me right back to the mid-90s!

got my bag today.. will be posting pics later

I got the lips stick in Autumn Red.. Looks like it would match me well.

I'm having problems "Quoting" on post is anyone else?

I have the Very Hot Cocoa and it looks great...last awhile feels great and is great for work.  I think Brown lipstick is good for the office and yes also for fall.  I think Pink is a bit overated and red will always be classy but it draws unwanted attention from what we call "Thirsty" guys...lol

Yikes, definitely cancelling myglam. This was my first month subscribed to them and I am sorry I ever did! Apparently my box is still in california... rude customer service, terrible shipping, and bad products. Do they not understand that a sampling service is to sample real brands not the plastic brushes they decided to put their name on? Yup... waste of $10!!!

If you need a classic true red lipstick, I think the Maybelline ColorSensational in Red Revival is awesome!!! I love it for a bold red lip and it doesn't look orange like some other "red" lipsticks!

I got my bag today and, well, obviously you all know what was in it. I can't really smell the perfume b/c the bag's smell was too overwhelming. It's not as bad as March's, but there's still that synthetic smell. I can't even explain it. I doubt the smell is emanating from the perfume bottle. :-o

I thought I would be able to use the bling nails, but up close I can tell they're really not my thing. This post won't be full of complaints. I at least loved the brushes. :) Now it's cool that they included a full size lipstick in there. Considering what they've done in the past, they could have just sent us Avon size lipstick samples or even tiny packets with a smidge of color to test. But I take it the goal of Studio Gear in working with MyGlam this month is to try to sell their product. Unfortunately, it really defeats the purpose if the process of sending out colors is completely random. I got my lipstick in cinnabar and at first I was amused. Cinnabunny's my cat's name. lol. :-p I just knew I would dislike it at once before I opened it. It looked so dark, but I kind of wondered if it was one of those lipsticks that appeared lighter when you put it on. Nope. It's like a deep reddish interspersed with orange. Imagine how lovely that looks on a pale complexion. :(

Sorry, I guess I just didn't like this bag. Did anyone else receive the lipstick in "Cinnabar"? What did you think? Can I see pix if it looks good? :)

This bag was ok, I dont really expect much from myglam. Its one of those relationships where a person either makes you happy, or "oh, whatever". I know it is paid, but atleast you still get to try some things or trade if you want. I saw this on BB's facebook today, where they expect dark red to be one of the in lippies for this summer, and so I was hoping to actually receive one for myglam, and I got "autumn red" which made me happy!

Myglam may have been onto something without even knowing it :)

Enjoy or Happy trading :)
