That's sad.  I think the regular Boyfriend smells decent, so I was hoping for a similar scent.  Evidently not.  I got kit 3 also, though I have not tried the perfumes yet.  Thanks for the warning.  I agree with Ange- who was thinking that "Billionaire Boyfriend" is a name that would appeal to anyone, ever?

 

Totally agree with you guys about the Billionaire Boyfriend name.  And having Addison from Private Practice be the face of it?  She plays a strong surgeon, she doesn't need a boyfriend to complete her or to give her money.  Kate Walsh seems better than that.  I'm sure they get a lot of comments on it.  Strange.

I got two It Kit #3's (Lasting Impression) and one It Kit #2 (Classics). I accidentally ordered 2 of Kit #3 and was hoping for Kit #1 instead. Overall, I've been super-impressed with these kits. Nothing had been substituted in any of my kits, thankfully. I plan on keeping some for myself and using other pieces to add to Christmas gifts. IMO these are a way better deal than the current 'Little Lux" kits, although those do have cuter bags.

Funny! I agree the name is weird, but I love the fragrance of Billionaire Boyfriend! :) On the other hand, (plain old) Boyfriend is so not my style at all; it smells gross on me!

Got 2 and 3 today.  2 was as pictured (yay Lancome!) but 3 had a couple substitutions- DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom instead of Alien and UD Complexion Primer Potion instead of De-Slick, which I'm ok with since I just bought the massive-sized one during UD's F&F sale.  Overall, super impressed. Way more value than any Birchbox I've ever gotten, lol.

I shopped in-store today and bought things (which I never do, because of online awesomeness, but I wanted it NOW haha)... and one of the 100-pt perks was a Flowerbomb mini. So... I got that. :)

While I was online placing an order today an item IN MY CART went out of stock. :/

 

Oh well, at least it still let me order the it kit.

If anyone doesn't want her Murad Clarifying Cleanser please PM me! My little brother has been breaking out and now he's freaking out because nothing is working on his skin :-( He hasn't tried the Murad line yet and I'd love to see if the Murad cleanser would help him before spending so much on the full line.

If you can't get anyone to trade you, try going to sephora and asking for a sample. They'll fill a tiny vial for you! That would be even cheaper and easier, lol.

Yea I've thought about that. But guys are so weird about skincare (at least the guys in my life.) If I don't give my brother or my fiance something fullsize-ish to use they don't see the point in breaking up their routines (or what is the semblance of a routine.) I tried to get my fiance to try the Jack Black line because there was a rep when we were at Nordstrom this past weekend and he was given a bunch of little samples, but he just tossed them in our junk drawer and went straight back to using his Barbasol.

You should check out Perfectly Posh. It's a direct sales company, but they have pampering products that have "clean" ingredients. No parabens, mineral oil, or the like. One of the products is the Gender Bender soap which is great for acne! I really like it. I sold their stuff for awhile, but now I just use it. I wasn't into the whole sales thing. My friend also used the Feng Shui on her body and she said it totally cleared up her back acne. I would highly recommend the products.

Also, I finally caved and got an ITKIT. I was trying so hard to be on a no buy, but I really wanted an Ellis Faas lipstick and I had a $10 GC. I ended up only spending $40. I think it was worth it. I have been very good with not buying anything.

That showed up in the online shop! I've been wanting to get Flowerbomb in some form for a while now so I jumped at the opportunity to get it with my points! What size is the mini perfume sample?

 

There's also a Miss Dior 100 point perk in the online shop if anyone's into that.

 

I was also able to finally get one of the Sephora It Kits (#3)! I honestly don't mind if there are a few replacements because it's still 9 extra free samples!!!

What substitutions has anyone had in their ITKITS recently?

I am going to put in one more order to get another kit and am trying to figure out which one.

Urban Decay Brightening Complexion Primer Potion instead of the

Urban Decay DeSlick Oil Control Makeup Setting Spray

 

Sephora Age Defy Moisture Cream SPF 15 instead of the

Sephora Instant Moisturizer (this one was sneaky and I didn't notice it at first!)

 

DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom Eau so Intense instead of the

Thierry Mugler Alien

I did not get the Coach Poppy 2 vial sample I selected

 

I really wanted to try the Urban Decay DeSlick, so I'm really disappointed and wouldn't have ordered the kit otherwise.  What have others been receiving?  Is the Lancome makeup remover in kit #2 still being substituted with the Sephora brand?

 

Also, any tips on trying to get the Urban Decay Deslick sample from Sephora or are dems da breaks for me ;-)? This is my first order from them so I realize I'm not a valuable customer, but swapping out 3 of the 9 samples seems a bit excessive.  

Try calling them about it. It wont harm to ask. And i think in every promo, there is a disclaimer that items will be substituted if items will be out of stock. I had been ordering for almost three years and that happena to me too. It's sad but its okay. Try to check the trade section of MuT, You might find someone to swap stuff with.

The Sephoras in JCPenney frequently have the DeSlick or the All Nighter setting spray as a 100 pt perk, but not the actual Sephora stores though. It's where I got mine to try out and now I use it for travel as I got the XL DeSlick for 50% off also at the Sephora in JCPenney :-)

 

It's like a mini-bottle, bigger than the typical perfume vial... and really cute! But... no spray top, boo. The old-fashioned, messy, pull it off and dump some out kind. Would make a great stocking stuffer, too, in the cute little box!

 

I usually like very light/crisp/clean fragrances, but Flowerbomb is a rare exception. I loved it on first sniff! :D I also really like Narciso Rodriguez for her, along those same lines.

Sounds adorable! I actually had the same experience as you with Flowerbomb. It's not the type of fragrance I normally go for but I fell in love after testing it out at Sephora.

 

Man!  That stinks.  It still let you order the ItKit even if you were under $25 or did you have other stuff totaling more than that in the cart?  This shopping season is crazy, things are being snapped up left and right.  I can't believe that they still have the ItKits available, it's a pretty great perk.  I'm liking the new makeup bags but with 14 foil samples I'd rather get another ItKit if I had to order more stuff.  I already have tons of makeup bags through subs and gift with purchases.  The Cinderella one is really cute though . . .

I had other things in my cart, but I was disappointed because the item that went out of stock while I was shopping was for my secret santa recipient on this site! That's ok, I have seen some VERY cool stuff at Marshall's, TJ Maxx, and BCF lately that I think she would really enjoy. Of course that stuff better be there now that I know who my assigned person is!

 

I was just happy that even though the 14-foil-packet-sample-thingy is everywhere, it still took the itkit code and, ostensibly, shipped it. We'll see if I get any substitutions but even if I do it is a GREAT perk I totally agree! Got a present for my niece and one for my daughter (so I got the free shipping) and then the free itkit for me. Everyone wins! (Even my secret santa person because I will find even better stuff for her, I know it!)

I ordered 1 ItKit #2 and 1 ItKit #3. Ordered on November 6 & received on November 14. No substitutions in Kit #2, but 3 substitutions in Kit #3 (same as greeny). I'm really happy with the Lancome make up remover & the NARS pencil!

What size was the lancome makeup remover?

 

Btw, the Clarins primer and Tarte setting powder in Kit#3 are fantastic!

The Lancome remover is 1.7oz.
 

Looks like the Best in Classic (Kit #2) finally sold out.  Sephora has a giant purple sash over it  stating "out of stock"

Has been since last night. I'm not surprised -- I actually thought it would sell out faster, and I'd gotten #3 first so I was like agjsk;dajkfs what is a reasonable amount of time to make another sephora purchase?
