I am going to the Rio carnaval this year for the first time. Please give me some idea about what should be my makeup. I am planning to go in painted on clothing , something like this

the design will be painted on my body with no real bikini. What type of makeup will go with this type of outfit ?? please help me...

If you're going to paint something similar to this on clothing then try acrylic paint rather than makeup. If it's going on the body with only a bra like covering and panties then possibly airbrush makeup would be better suited. It really will depend on how much is going on bare skin and how much on clothing.

I agree with zadidoll, the acrylics will last longer as well.

almost the whole design will be painted on bare skin except a g string. I am thinking to wear no bra on top as the body paint design will do the job. I like the idea of acrylic paint. Can anyone suggest any design for the eye or face makeup?

If you're going with something similar to that then I would probably stick with a similar design on the face. Essentially carry the floral portion (seen on the upper thighs) up towards the face.

thakx for ur suggestion Zadidoll. one more thing ... my complexion is much more light than the one shown in the body paint pic. Should i use the same colors as the pic or some different color combination with the same design? and what about the color of the face makeup design? moreover , will it look odd if the g string is visible through the painting over it?

If you're going to copy the look exactly then use the same or similar colors. I think that design would also work well with blues and teals along with golds and greens. It's your imagination so try it out first rather than do it at the last minute. As for painting over the g-string, no it won't look odd from afar. At IMATS LA many of the models used had nude color briefs on and had their bodies painted with of course the nude color undies being painted as well and it looked fine.

actually my friend and I tried several designs on our bodies ( we painted each other, though in the carnaval we wish to be painted by some professional artist ). Some with undies on some with no undies. It seemed that the designs are going better without them. But I am afraid all paints are not safe for those private areas. What type of body makeup is safe to paint those areas if I go without undies?

If you use a non-toxic acrylic you should be fine. There is also liquid latex to consider, I know that some is used in the adult entertainment industry however if that's available in your area or not is another matter.

Costume shops also carry liquid latex as well as some specialty shops.

Honestly I would not recommend using acrylic paints on your face. This will clog your pores like crazy, rather get cream/cake face paint from: Ben Nye, Mehron (Paradise Makeup), Grimas or Kryolan  or Temptu colors (alcohol based paint)
