I bought the LORAC Pro Palette instead. Thanks for the suggestions/feedback ladies!post #123 of 15312/17/12 at 11:50am- mermuse

That looks like a great matte basics palette! Ahhhh! I don't know how I have never heard of that one before!

My NAKED Basics just arrived and I'm like, "Wow that's small!" Just to put it into perspective on how small - width wise it fits on my keyboard between the letters E and O and covers up to the space bar. THAT is just the EXTERIOR box, the actual palette fits between E and I and covers three rows of keyboard keys and doesn't even touch the space bar.

I have this and I love it! I do freelance makeup and I used this palette on the bride for a wedding and she looked at herself in the mirror when I was done and was like, "Omg wow, I can't believe this is me!" It's a pretty good buy. I still got naked basics anyway--partly cause I can carry it around in my purse and I don't have Naked 2 palette so I felt it was justified. Lol.post #128 of 15312/27/12 at 8:17ampost #129 of 15312/27/12 at 9:25am- viccckyhoang

I got the Naked Basics palette for Christmas and I'm madly in LOVE!!!! It's so gorgeous. I seriously love this palette hardcore. It wears really well. I put it over MAC paint pot in painterly and it stayed put all day through shopping. It looked perfect when I went to wash my makeup off before bed. All the colors are just perfect together. It is so worth $27!!! I'm in love!

I gave naked basics to my mom for Christmas, because she wanted a naked palette but only wears mattes. She is in love! It was nice to see her wear more than just one all over color on her eyes. She looked great! I kind of want to buy one for myself now, but I love shimmers so I don't know how much I'd use it.
post #133 of 15312/28/12 at 9:47amnot getting this. naked is the best. who wants the dull matte colors on this - and they are so light and yellowy! I have Naked and Naked 2 and i mostly use regular NAKED and never touch the light pale matte ones. other than to put the lightest in the corner of my eye/nose. what's the point! wish they combined naked 1 and 2 with the 12 total awesomest colors. the only nice color on the mini naked pallette is the last one! Faint. sort of wish i had venus too. looks pearly and shimmery and nice. but not nice enough for me to run to buy it!
post #134 of 15312/29/12 at 2:59pmI swatched this palette on in store and am super unimpressed. Everything except the darkest two shades just disappear into my skin, even when I pat it on. Skiiiiip. (I'm a 120 in MUFE HD foundation & more yellow/not as pink than Missha Signature Real Complete BB Cream in 21.)
As for the UD deluxe sample that came w/ my last UD order...
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)Very disappointed in this so called BB cream. I wish Western cosmetic companies would stop making what are essentially tinted moisturizers and make actual BB creams.

I wanted to get this from Ulta since they just had a 20% percent off that ended on Monday along with a $6 dollar coupon but of course it was sold out. I got one today with a 5 dollars off. I kept saying I didn't need it but I don't really have many simple basic matte shades so this fit the bill. It really compliments the first two Naked palettes which I already own.

post #137 of 1531/1/13 at 6:21pmI'm definitely a big Urban Decay fan but I feel a bit disappointed with this palette. I only have the first Naked palette and that works perfectly fine for me and my clients. I think that I would rather stick to the first Naked Palette and if I were to expand I'd get the rest of the palettes but not this one. I love a lot of UD stuff to leave them!! LOL

OMG there is NOTHING disappointing with this palette! I love it so much! I've used it every day since Christmas. It's amazing how many looks you can do with just a few neutrals! I'm sure the Naked Palette is fantastic, but this palette is great in it's own right. It's renewed my love of matte shadows after wearing shimmers for so long. I must say Crave and Venus are to die for.post #139 of 1531/2/13 at 12:43pmQuote:My sister & I are in complete agreement about our levels of goo hoarding. I sent her a YouTube link of a tour of a makeup artist's entire makeup ROOM and referred to it as goo porn. Her response...gookake!!
post #140 of 1531/5/13 at 3:01pmThe only problem that I had with my naked 1 palette, and the reason that I didn't buy the naked 2, is that I find the more shimmery/glittery colours very hard to wear on a more day to day basis. I love them for night time, if i go out etc. But I was wishing that there were more matte colours. This is perfect for me and is on my Birthday Wishlist!!
I hope to get a lot of use out of this in the near future! yay for mattes :)

I got a gift card to Macy's and visited one looking for a Butter London product, but then the SA brought my attention to this palette. When I first saw this last month, I brushed it off since I already have the first Naked palette. But now I'm debating if I should get this palette or not. In my head, I'm just like it's so travel friendly and all the colors are matte, which I've been really into lately. But I know I don't need it. Ugh, I don't know what to do. hahaha
post #142 of 1531/11/13 at 12:24pmI found this palette very basic and easily dupeable. Its a nice palette with some amazing neutral shades but nothing difficult in not finding them especially if you are a makeup junkie. I liked the pricing though and would have loved if UD introduced a mascara in their palettes. If their mascaras are nice then it would be a lovely way to generate mascara sales for the brand.

Lol. Mine arrived on Thursday. I won it in a giveaway on YouTube. The whole thing is smaller than my phone. Samsung Vitality SCH-R720. I think this might be a good beginner palette for me. Or I might give it away. I can't decide.post #145 of 1531/12/13 at 10:05pmpost #146 of 1532/16/13 at 10:24ampost #147 of 1532/16/13 at 10:49am- viccckyhoang

Quote:it's a good set considering that there is a lip pencil and an eyeliner in there + the 6 eye shadows that can pop out + the case (and it's limited edition).. it's a really good value but you should only get it if you like the shades in the palette
whoops wrong thread! it's a great matte palette and i don't think that it's really necessary to get it.. you can find a better deal else where since it can be easily duped :] check out the oz palettes when you get the chance :]

post #150 of 1532/16/13 at 9:03pmI'd like to get it since I don't have very many neutral matte colors, the only ones I have are the colors that are in naked 1 and 2. When I bought naked 1 I really got into neutral shadows. Always before I loved wearing purple on my eyes never would I have thought about wearing browns.. I just thought that they would blend into my hair color too much (dark brown) and not stand out. When I got the too faced natural eye palette I really fell in love with neutrals. At this point I probably have enough.. and honestly my favorite eye shadows to wear are liquid eyeshadow or pot shadows. Like the color tattoos or tarte's eye-emphasis colors. I just feel like you can throw one color on and go.
I've noticed fashion this season is very 60's and I'd definitely say a light neutral matte eye with lots of eye liner is very 60's.
