Our winner of the Fafi Girl DTB Contest, mermuse wants to see your best Cirque Du Soleil! Be inspired by and create your own character, or to recreate something from Cirque Du Soleil.
 
Get to it ladies! Let's see your Cirque Du Soleil! ;) 

 

The rules:

  1. All entries must be your own original work.
  2. Entries inspired by another person please give credit where credit is due otherwise entry maybe disqualified.
  3. Photoshopping is not allowed with the exception of cropping and/or resizing.
  4. Limit one entry per person HOWEVER you may post more than one photo but only one may be voted on.

 

Entry deadline for this Dare to Be challenge is 1/20/2012 at 8:59 PM Pacific (1/20/2012 11:59 PM Eastern).

I saw the announcement for the contest on  FB and didn't waste any time. It was just the inspiration I needed. ...But now I feel weird because nobody else has entered yet, and I'm the only crazy looking art person in the thread. Haha.

This thread made me open an account on the site (I always browse but never post). The colors you used are so lovely, Airi Magdalene! I really want to create the trickster from Kooza but I'm not sure I'll have the opportunity. Maybe tomorrow morning if I get lucky! Otherwise I hope someone else joins so we can see more creative looks.

I did a look the other day, but I wasn't thrilled with my lighting/the way the pictures came out, so it was all for naught.  I'm not entirely sure I'll have time to recreate it, though. Bah.

I created this look on my mom (lol) it's more of a cirque de soleil/burlesque. Its not so great but I hope you guys like (:

Yes, great word choice - hauntingly beautiful, indeed. 

 

As a side note, I've been absent from MUT for a long time, but the DTB challenges were always my favorite. Just got back on, and saw this challenge - what a fantastic choice, mermuse!! Bummed to not see more entries, though!!!!! icon_cry.gif If I'd hopped back on here sooner, I would have LOVED to try this one!! Both of these entries are great, though - fabulous job, Airi and shesthndrstrms! claps.gif I'll honestly have a hard time picking which I like best. hehe.gif

I'd like to see a way to add on to old challenges in case anyone wants to do them for fun.  I have a few I did but didn't get in in time myself.  I don't even care about the voting, but I feel like I might as well put the looks out there, and I'd love to see people's looks as well.

You should! Why not just post in the appropriate threads, with a quick explanation or start a new one, with a reference to your inspiration? Share! Lol..

You should! or like misslindajean said you can start a new thread lol about your inspiration an stuff. It could be our way to show looks inspired by these challenges !

I'd post in the threads themselves except that quite often they are locked immediately when the time frame is over.  For some reason, this one hasn't been locked yet.
