Unless you have to see every episode of a show. That usually also means that if something is a spinoff, you also have to see the original show. That's how this particular quirk typically works.

haha. I have never seen Torchwood either, but I don't know what it is so I don't feel like I'm missing out. haha. Honestly, I have never seen an episode of Dr. Who and I'm kind of burned out on it thanks to tumblr/the internet...same with Sherlock. I get annoyed when I can't get away from things, even if they are things I know/love, which is why I've never done the whole fandom thing. :) I loved Lost until everyone on the internet made me so sick of it I couldn't bear the thought of watching another episode....

It's true, your life is likely incomplete at this moment without having experienced Captain Jack. Do we have a swoon emoticon? lovelovee.gif

Yep, and I can't watch a spinoff unless I've seen the original first.

Another thing I've heard from longtime Whovians: It changed dramatically with Nine. It started as a playful children's show. It is most definitely not that now ("The Empty Child"/"The Doctor Dances," anyone? When they originally aired, I told all of my friends to watch them back-to-back and not wait even a day because the first part was creepy as hell but got resolved the following week. A few years -- years! -- later, i received email from one of the guys thanking me because his wife had settled in one evening to watch the first episode one night and the second one the next, but he had remembered what i had said, and his insistence that she had to watch them all in one sitting apparently saved her some nightmares. And how about those Weeping Angels?).

I'm an art major and I drew a weeping angel and my own drawing freaks me out! I didn't frame it because of the episode where 11 says that an image of a weeping angel is a weeping angel. My neighbor also has a weeping angel statue and it kept me up for the longest time, because it scared me but he was smart and made another statue face it so it can't move HAHA I take my Doctor Who a little bit too serious.

In Michelle's new vid where she's talking about her back to school favorites, I was trying to find what kind of cheek stain she was using! Turns out, it might be in our bag this month :-)

Look ah!! If we get this in our bags, I'm gonna be so excited!

You joined just to tell us that.  Cool.  OR (i'm jaded) umm, interesting.  Like marketing?  Feel free to hate me.

They do send out tracking emails, and everyone's bags ship within a few days of each other. My July bag shipping on the 9th and arrived the 16th, but glam rooms loaded before that.

Yeah, I'm kind of suspicious as well. Maybe if someone Googled "ipsy cheek stain" something like that would come up, but it's a little weird as a first post. However, if it's an accurate spoiler, that's pretty exciting. The colors are really scary bright though, so hopefully they're pretty sheer....or it's an "or" item that I don't receive.

Thanks for the spoiler and welcome to MUT! icon_biggrin.gif

Not another blush!! We had benetint NYX Be a bombshell the last couple months (And even though I love the benetint) I hate blushes!! scared.gif

Am I the only one who thinks the post it self is a little sketchy looking I mean I've been apart of MUT for months and I've never seen something like that....

Also...looking at prices, it's on the low end. $2.99? So maybe those that get the Urban Decay will get the cheek stain and those that get the balm will get something of higher value? Since Ipsy hinted at evening out the price differences between bags with the lipstick vs bags with the balm, that seems like a possibility.

Nope.  I mean the tip looks legit, but the profile looks like it's a marketing tool.

All she did was format her post to look like this.

Instead of like this. wink.gif

I was originally going to buy that cheek stain but I wanted to look at reviews for the product, so I just searched up "city color cheek stain review" on Google. And the second hit that came up said ipsy so I just assumed they were going to put it on our bags.
If you don't believe me you can try it for yourselves.

I don't exactly understand why my post was suspicious, but alright. I just wanted to share the info that I stumbled upon with you gals!

We have had a decent number of people post things along the lines of "look at this new subscription!" or "this is what I received in my bag" or defending companies/attacking people with criticisms, then it comes out that they're a shill and they're actually hired by the company to promote the business. Of course these people usually create brand new accounts (since they're not established users) before they post their promotional material. So essentially a new account plus a "look at this product!" is automatically kind of a red flag, that's all.

This is why people lurk for months rather than posting. All of this open speculation based on a single post is just rude and unwelcoming and doesn't represent MUT in the best light. IMO

She is right. Second hit with that search.

I don't think this is why people lurk, since I've only been suspicious about maybe five different accounts altogether. I agree that it's not very welcoming, but it almost never happens (at least that I've seen).

Edit Their also doesn't seem to be a lot of reviews on this product....

I'm sorry.  I did say the tip seemed to check out.  And I did mention it was really good sleuthing (before I expressed my concerns).  I've seen lots of what KayEss mentioned.  I'm really sorry.  Don't let me being jaded make you not use the MUT forums. flowers.gif

I'm just happy to get a spoiler before bedtime smile.gif especially if this is the product that will be revealed tomorrow than I can actually get some work done lol. I'm still hoping for Pacifica this month (or a hair product) and a purple sparkley bag!!

Has anyone tried anything from City Color? For the price point, I can't imagine it being quality product, but maybe?

Excellent detective work smile.gif Those are super cute. I feel like the stick form would be way easier to use then the benetint-like stains!

Also, welcome!
