Maybe they should just wait until mid-month to send us the tracking numbers. I got my bag on 8/16 however, it felt like it took forever to get to me because I got tracking on 8/8. If I would have gotten tracking info on 8/15, I would have thought wow that was fast! It would also help if they sent the bags on the west coast first, that way everyone would get their bag around the same time.
I pretty much agree. I HATE paying for shipping and generally try my best to avoid it. That being said, what has bothered me with Ipsy regarding shipping isn't so much the speed as the lack of consistency and poor customer service. Waiting until the end of the month is one thing, provided the bag arrives safely and is handled appropriately by the shipper. But all the bags that arrived with items missing or entirely empty was just unacceptable. I was lucky not to be one that had this problem, but I know there were way too many people that did. Then, you have Ipsy not wanting to take any responsibility for it. I'm sorry, but they chose to continue with DHL despite having problems with them in the past. DHL is responsible, but so is Ipsy. The consumer certainly is not. Also, tracking should work and bags should be handled in a consistent manner. This is never going to happen with DHL. So Ispy should look into a different shipper, yes. Not sure if they can find one and still keep the price at $10, but DHL is just no longer reliable and they should be dropped like a hot potato. Now, if they had to charge $11 or $12 to ship with a better company, I'd probably be ok with that. Bumping up $5 to $15 would be too much though. I guess with subs you have to look at things differently. You can say we pay for the samples (sometimes full size if we are lucky) and do not pay for shipping, or, you could say we pay shipping and get the samples for free. It doesn't really matter to me how you look at it, as long as the overall cost stays as close to $10 as possible and the value/quality of the bags remains high. This includes my expectation that they IMPROVE CS and SHIP APPROPRIATELY. Just IMHO. ;)
ETA: Oh, and they need to work on being fair to all customers--bag value, desirability of all samples, etc. Since they started amping up the variations, quality and consistency from bag version 1 to version 2 to version 3 etc. has been going down hill.
