One of the items is (MALIN + GOETZ) mojito lip balm (retail: $12). The lip items in the pots are unknown but it kind of reminds me of Cailyn Cosmetics lip balms we've had a couple of months ago. MicaBella/MicaBeauty also has these same lip balm pots with brush.

One item is from Yaby the other two say "Smooth Shadow" which are from Elizabeth Mott. Hopefully the Yaby item is a color corrector and not the liquid foundation since foundation is so personal.

I was actually thinking about this the other day, because I'm moving to a different house on January 2nd! So I'll be so busy with that.... but I'll still be watching for spoilers lol

Yay!   January Ipsy!  I hope it's just as awesome as last years'!

what was in last years?

It was a red Nailtini polish, Josie Maran Argan Oil, a Soho brand crease brush, Big Sexy Hair volumizing hair spray and Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange body lotion. Wasn't my favorite but I loved the Josie Maran and the Pacifica!

I can't believe January is only 2 weeks away!!

It was definitely one of my faves... my first Josie Maran and Pacifica products, the brush was fantastic and fluffy, the hairspray worked well with my hair, and at the time, I didn't have any red polishes (it's still my only "perfect" bright red creme polish).

I also really loved the bag (I think it's still one of the biggest bags we've gotten, plain navy on the outside, inside lined with navy fabric with white stars).  And the bag really helped me out of a post-holiday slump.  Holidays were over, kids were back in school, extended family had left, it was finally starting to get super-cold down here... and BAM!  Package of awesomeness, especially the tropical-scented lotion.  Not everyone was pleased (there was a huge "NO MAKEUP!!??" backlash on FB), but it made me happy!

I LOVED the bag too! I still use it to hold all my sample-sized skincare stuff in my bathroom. I'm almost positive it IS the biggest bag we've gotten from Ipsy, and the lining was super cute! I had no problem with their being no makeup because honestly, I think Ipsy went too far the other way. People were always yelling, "more makeup!" at Ipsy, Birchbox and every other beauty subscription, and Ipsy has definitely delivered, but I would LOVE it if this year they partnered up with more skincare brands (like they did later in this 2013 with Michael Todd, Ole Henricksen, H20 etc) and maybe include more beauty tools. I love makeup, but it's nice to have an array of items across the whole spectrum of beauty!

I can't wait for January spoilers!!!!!!

I can't wait for the spoilers to begin!

I hope lots of companies have leftover samples from all their holiday kits and we get all the leftover goodies!! :)

Let the spoilers begin! :icon_smil

I would love for everyone to get a makeup tool this month. Like a good blush brush or something fun. I would have loved the Mirabella brush.

Updates! :headphonedance:

Last January's bag was so good!  I've recently unsubscribed from Ipsy but my sister still gets it and I'm hoping there are some gems she doesn't want!

Last January was a great bag!  I have bought 2 more full-sized Josie Maran argan oils since trying it in this bag for the first time.  Also, I have fell in love w/almost anything Pacifica because of the lotion in that bag.

Here's hoping this January Ipsy bag is as great as last years!

Decisions decisions...I just got an email to instantly take myself off the waitlist for an email address that I signed up last month for a gift for my sister...she signed herself up and so I don't need it now...I'm tempted to keep it for at least January for a second bag for myself. I went ahead and clicked the link, I guess I'll get 2 bags in January, then decide after that if it's worth keeping. My 2 oldest daughters already get their own bags but I have an 11 year old that is just starting to wear gloss and loves nail polish so I'm thinking whatever she won't use can always go on my trade list to get things that I don't get in my bag right? :icon_wink

I'm really hoping for a body scrub in this bag! I've been going through them like crazy so far this winter. Also would love a powder highlighter or blush that isn't from one of the brands we've seen a million times.NO mascara, NO lipgloss, NO liners (lip or eye), NO red lip products!

Your NO list is perfect!  I don't need any of those items either.

I am ready for an Ipsy bag that contains NO MAKEUP. I mean dang, I am obsessed with makeup but they just take it to another level, lol. I would love a beauty tool, Maybe a lip or body scrub, Skincare, lotions, blotting papers, hair/skin oils, body wash, perfume, face wash/moisturizer, maybe a makeup remover even? All I know is there is a huge range of stuff they did not tap into that much this year, and I would love to see a bit more variety from them! We'll see! :)

I have also decided that if Ipsy continues to repeat the same brands and I get more than one item from J.Cat, Be a Bombshell, Pixi, Pop, Starlooks, Cailyn, Big Sexy Hair, Mirabella, or Mica Beauty, I will cancel. I'm really tired of these brands, and honestly there was not a single product from any of those lines that I've been impressed with. I just looked back at all of my bags, and I've received (in my opinion) an excessive number of products from these lines. Birchbox introduces me to so many new brands and only repeats brands occasionally, but they are always good products, such as color club polishes. I don't mind repeats of brands like Urban Decay, the Balm, Buxom, etc, because all of those brands have great items that I love and never feel like Ipsy cheated me out of getting my money's worth. While a bag may be worth more than $10, if I don't use the items, it's worth $0 to me. I'm spending $10 a month to get high end products with good reputations, not Target/Drugstore brands.

so far, I am happy with my ipsy bags.  I have gotten non makeup items in bags before and I would not like a completely no makeup bag at all!!  I would love to see some facial products and brushes - I never get brushes :(

I do not mind the repeat brands - so long they are items I can use and like.  They do need to stop doing the same brand two months in a row (re be a bombshell).  I would like to see some EM products in the bags or perhaps some nail strips.

I have never gotten mica beauty and I've always wanted them.  Thankfully, I was able to get them in swaps, but still....I never got the feeling that ipsy was "high end" but more about medium end to drug store brands.

I'm sure there are lots of people who would disagree with my desire for a non-makeup bag, haha :) I get it, it's a beauty subscription! I'm not sure how long you've been subscribed, but for me, I've been with them since day 1 (I canceled for 3 months in the summer of 2012) and I'm just a teeny bit tired of getting makeup from them, but only because they rarely venture out from it. Only occasionally do they put a non-cosmetic item in the bags, and when they do, it's usually my favorite item. If they mixed up the brands that they sample makeup from I would probably not be saying this, but after being subbed for so long, I'm just really tired of their many, many repeats. Getting more than one product from a company is fine, but I would really love to see more variety in the brands that they're offering. That's my one wish for Ipsy 2014, that we get a bigger variety of brands and types of beauty products to sample from! :)

I would love to see ipsy do more items and do more non makeup beauty items as well....but for now, I haven't gotten that level of frustration that I got with Birchbox - which after a whole year of useless products, I finally quit them.  I have found other subs that give me non makeup items, like blush, glossybox, eco-emi, so I am happy with getting full sized makeup items in ipsy

the one major beef I have with ipsy is their shipping and how they do not really respect my loves...lol.   I have been with ipsy since June, so I still am in the honeymoon period - but I have complained bitterly at times!! lol

I've been lurking since September but have finally made the plunge onto the forums & am trying to figure out all there is to know about MUT :)

I would love to get a lip scrub, body scrub and/or a makeup setting spray. I'd lose my mind (in the best way possible) if they sent us something from Lush!

Oof, yea I know exactly how you feel about the Ipsy shipping stuff. Ever since they switched to DHL it's been a complete disaster, at least for me. I'm always one of the last areas to get my bags and the entire fun of it is already over by the time I get it. They're usually already doing giveaways on their FB page, the MUT thread for that month is starting to die down etc. I just feel like they need to mix it up a bit on which areas get their bags first.

I think what makes me the MOST angry, is that when they first switched to DHL, they sent everyone their tracking info asap and people were complaining that the tracking wasn't updating or that it was taking weeks just to get to them etc. So now, rather than looking into other companies or going back to USPS, they just hold off on sending our tracking information until a few days before our bags arrive. It still takes the same amount of time to get to us, because they wait until the last minute to send our tracking #'s it only feels like we're waiting a shorter time. I used to get my bags much earlier than I do now. Maybe I'm being whiny but I really hate DHL lol!

Welcome to MUT! I was a long-time lurker too but finally dove in about a month ago and it's been a blast! I would LOVE a setting spray I can't get enough of those! And I would love somethign from Lush too but I highly doubt that will happen. :( Lush should do a subscription box I would be on that so fast! haha :)

Welcome!  I would also love something from Lush.  I wouldn't even need any other items that month - just one from Lush! lol

I have been saying this too.  A subscription box from Lush would be heaven.

My wish for Ipsy in 2014.... new brands (Villainess please!!), less variations, and more variety of products. Also, I'm almost at a makeup bag saturation point, so I'd rather have better/more products than another bag but that's just me. They were pretty darn cute most months and I've given many away to friends so I'm spreading happiness!
